While he is new to submissions, his mat awareness, physicality, timing, leverage are exceptional.

Respect. It takes huge balls to step onto the mat against that resume, whether he has 40 lbs on you or not.

10/11/12

PM open mat:
Simon & I worked on wrestling for 90 minutes.
Work on baseline D, my funk counters are very good, but damned if they should be that deep in the first place.

10/15/12

50/50 guard defenses
Roll from 50/50 for 20 minutes

10/16/12
Open mat warm ups & some takedown work.
BJJ for an hour, working a few transitions I want to improve upon, specifically submitting directly off of the pass.
No gi:
X-Guard work
Some free roll from guard sweeping bunches.
Wrestles with Simon. Only scored on counters. Need to cut better angles, clear head/hand defense,& have better pop on my shots.

10/17/12

Lunch no gi:
3D passing with the demi-God, then rolling with Justin. Hard fought to get back to my feet for the reset. The man is a beast @ 225 lbs of single digit body fat.

Night BJJ:
Some free roll sweeping from the guard. Hit many omoplatas. Pummeling fairly well.

I guess there's no recovering from that workout.
