2013.09.20PM; jiu-jitsu…low key rolling against a very powerful brown belt. My focus was on allowing him to dictate the start, slowly neutralizing his attacks, rolling back some territory, working to finishes from mount and back mount with collar chokes.

Later in the afternoon I took my son to the park in Mānoa Valley. He played on the playground for about 15 minutes while I watched the clouds go by, lying in the grass, and we did battle on the giant tic-tac-toe set. After that we played a 45 minute one on one soccer match, he took it 8 to 5 and I don't mind telling you I wasn't happy about that. We finished the day with an hour of swimming.

Soup, I have no secrets. I try to force myself to eat less than I would otherwise like to. On the upside, I have no attraction for junk food, and never eat fast food. On the downside, I like good food and wine.
