The Furmination Experiment

Post by tough old man » Fri Nov 08, 2013 3:14 am

I have come to realize I am too heavy, too inflexible and too injury prone lately. I have always said that I would take Tom Furmans advice when I come to grips that Im not going to be a good powerlifter, hit a 550 lbs squat ect ect. I've reinjured a bicep tendon bending stainless steel, my calves and hamstrings are tight and my feet hurt. Fuck it. Im going to drop weight, rehab my injuries, lower my BP (its a little high) and climb and cardio more. So, I'm going to listen to Toms advice.

Five clappys for this experiment and this log.

Tom talks good sense and has good advice. And good on you for deciding to put time into getting healthier, rehabbing what's buggered, and paying attention to the old BP, and of course, following through and starting on a program.

Good luck to you!

Alright back at it. All cleared by the doc to workout in pain now.

A little back story: The Monday after thanksgiving I simply slipped on ice and twisted the lower back. I couldn't walk for 5 days. Was loosing feeling in my feet and a ton of pain. Time and chiro, basic stretches and rolling on a tennis ball and 6 weeks later I did my first set of squat (315 X 5 ) pathetic but a start. Its game on now ....
