Alfred

I ordered one of those water bottle belts from Amazon. Running a loop would drive me insane. I tried a power bar power shot gel today at about 6 miles. No upset stomach but I really wished I had something to drink with it.

This whole marathon thing is about finishing with minimal damage at this point.

Thanks for reading

SUCKED. Felt off from the beginning. At about 12 miles I crashed hard. Ran/walked the rest.

I may be fucked.

Two Sundays ago ran 15 miles. Tweaked something in left leg. Thought it was a stress fracture. X-ray negative. Took a week off. Monday ran about a mile it was painful but didn't get worse. Today ran 3, hurt the whole way. Interestingly enough left side from glute on down felt dead with exception of pain in anterior of lower shin/ankle.

Chiropractor tomorrow cause it kind of feels like a pinched nerve thing.

Been doing the foot drills posted elsewhere and icing and rolling with the stick and lacrosse ball with no real relief.

I really don't want to bang out of the marathon but if I can't train I am fucked.

5.5 miles

55 minutes

With the injury faster than 10/mile seems unlikely

18 miles today.

6 mile loop done three times. Staged water and food at the start/finish.

1st 6 miles in 55 and change probably a 2 minute break to drink water.

2nd 6 in about 58, longer break so partner could take a dump about 5 minutes.

3rd 6 was the worst after long break.

Finished a shade over 3 hours. I stopped the clock during the water/shit breaks.

I believe my marathon strategy will be to walk the water stops starting at mile 6. I am beginning to not give a fuck about my finish time and just want to finish.

Well mammy rammers I did the fucking marathon today.

Been injured since end of September so didn't get to train like I wanted/needed to but ran anyway.

5:15 and change, worst thing I've ever done. Don't see the allure.

Now for Built like a Badass programming for awhile and hiking.

No more marathons for this white boy.

Ever since the run I've had bubble guts. Any remedy suggestions?
