Dawn patrol

20' easy, 4 easy strides.

Upset stomach, headache, achy ankles. Felt better by the end

Mobility work and dick around with some dumbbell bullshit.

Groin is getting more fucked.

Thing is, I'll get a "pop", and all discomfort will go away. Sometimes, the pain and discomfort goes away instantly. Finally decided not to be such a fucking retard and restart my fight with my insurance to get the MRI I need so I can get the treatment I need.

On a side note: Getting a dog later this month.

Quick run with a pause in the middle for 6 strides x 20sec each, walk back to start point.

A little over 6km total.

Definitely had a little bug or something going on last week. Even though I didn't do much for a couple days, I felt a lot better than last week.

Also got that pop I mentioned earlier. Like magic, the discomfort almost completely vanished. Still sensitive, like always, but the constant trouble is gone. Hoping to get a call tomorrow for my 4th appointment on this issue.

I should just change this log to "A case for euthanasia".

Wrenched my back last Wednesday. Only consistent health issue on my dad's side is back problems. My "core" is so strong, I rarely have an issue, but it happens.

Hips are all fucked up because of the low back pain. Now the left knee is sore and calf on that side is tight.

Just doing upper body work, light stretching and some legitimate mobility work as tolerated.

So, armstrong pull up plan til things get better.

Today was day four, working as many "work sets as possible". Work sets = 5 today, and we went 9 deep.

Hollow back press.

On my phone, so I don't have a good link for you, but Ido Portal had an insane variation he did. If you Google his name and hollow back press it should come up.

Been working out, still.

The Armstrong plan was fun and a nice change of pace for a while. I'd been burning the candle at both ends and took a week to relax and just fool around with being active.

So, since I finally have a diagnosis on my hip pain- torn labrum- the doc said to avoid heavy impact activities, stick to the bike and just be careful.

Re-joined my old gym and I'm getting FUCKING HUGE... or just lifting weights again after a long run with Gymnastic Bodies.

20 minutes on the bike

Bench 135 x 5, 155 x 5, 175 x 8
- then 5 x 5 @ 135 close grip

Cable rows, face pulls and a few curls

Meh. I felt like I had plenty left, but hadn't lifted in so long I took it fairly easy. Pretty happy with the carry over from the high tension GB work to free weights.

10-18
25 minutes on the bike

A few pulls off the pins. Didn't feel great, but this may be better as volume RDLs instead.

Ab circuit x 3

10-19

About 3 hours playing tug, fetch and just having fun with my dog. Split into a couple of 1-1.5 hour sessions. Enough for us both to be tuckered and for him to get some good training in.

I love my dog.

10-31
25' on bike
Lots of single leg shit and weighted abs

Hips sore.

I walk several miles per day with my dog, but don't log it. I'd guess between structured morning and evening walls, plus just hanging out, it's 4-5 miles everyday.
