Still not going gently into that good night

Re: Still not going gently into that good night
Last night, farmer walk, push-rows, swings. No gloves on the farmer walk, so no problem making the lap.
Looking for snow tomorrow, hopefully good skiing.

Re: Still not going gently into that good night
Today: skiing for 1.5 hours, it was 8 degrees out, so quit when the feet and hands hit the cold limit.

Re: Still not going gently into that good night
Today, quick farmer walk with 55 and 60 lb KBs. I made the 60 by taping two 7.5 lb weights to it. Ghetto.
The extra weight made a difference on grip. No break when switching hands now.
Went and saw Stan and Ollie, nice film superbly acted.

Re: Still not going gently into that good night
Skiing for hour and a half, on soft spring conditions. This, 3 days after skiing in below zero temps. Heh!
Also, farmer walk with the 55 and 60, then push & rows with the 45.

Re: Still not going gently into that good night
Mtbiking, Raystown trails. It was cold (18 degrees) yet still managed to be muddy in a bunch of spots. Needed warmer gloves! Nice ride overall. Out of shape for the upcoming spring, sad. Need to get out more...suck it up and enjoy the cold.

Yesterday, about 2 mile run down and back to park, and 10 x sprints up the hill. Then farmer walk back home with the son. Temps in high 20s.

Re: Still not going gently into that good night
4 hours of skiing on excellent snow, including a pile of runs on ungroomed “side country” with challenging surface. Fun!
Missed logging skiing a few days ago.

5 hours skiing on really nice snow. Snowing while out there to add to the ambiance.

Re: Still not going gently into that good night
Two hard days of skiing up north, about 5 hours each. Mostly in glades, which with the conditions were basically bump runs with trees in your way. Thighs were fried. No injuries, woot!

Re: Still not going gently into that good night
Missed logging a bunch of workouts over last couple of weeks.
Today, hiked up local mountain with a 20 lb ruck, 700’ gain, maybe 3 miles?

Re: Still not going gently into that good night
Fun day. Went mountain biking, and then went skiing. It was mid-60s, so skied in a t-shirt in shorts. Woot! Last day of the year, most likely.

More pizza oven building the last two days. Yesterday was cinderblock-fest, today was 6 80 lb bags of concrete. Should be OK through the week.
I was fried yesterday.

Re: Still not going gently into that good night
Yesterday, more pizza oven labor. Lifted and positioned 3 300 lb slabs on the platform with friend help. Removed cast cement oven from molds. Poured insulating layer on slab and dressed it up.
Then 2 mile at local mountain.

Re: Still not going gently into that good night
Catching up after a posting break...
Finished the pizza oven, and it rocks. Spend an hour getting it up to full blast, and then it cooks pizzas in 90 seconds. Did bread and even nachos in it.
Joined fitness club that has a heavy bag, so been going there to workout with 6 x 3 minute rounds with 30 second breaks, shooting for 300 strikes per minute.
Been doing the park intervals of push-ups and hill sprints.
Also some mtbiking.

Run to park, then 7 laps of hill intervals with 20 push-ups per lap, then run/walk back. About 2 miles round trip.
