Heavy bag rounds x 6, at 3 minutes then 30 seconds, about 300 punches per round.

Yesterday, another heavy bag session, but cut it short at 5 rounds due to left wrist twinging. Give it a rest. But did front, side, back, spinning back, and roundhouse kick drills. Also some farmer walks.

Nice ride at Raystown. Vertical is in small chunks.

Almost ran over a big fat rattlesnake laying right across the trail. Thought it was a stick, then thought it was just a black snake and was going to shoo it with a short stick, then saw the rattle. Yikes. Tossed sticks at it, but he was owning the trail, and came at me some. He curled up and struck at me, before s l o w l y moving off the trail.

High gravity day, as I was sweating a ton and maybe a little tuckered from yesterday’s ruck? Mid-ride I heard thunder, and used it as an excuse to bail. Timely too, as the storm proved ferocious.

Rainy busy week, not much happened. But today...

BOUGHT A NEW BIKE! A Giant Revolt 2 gravel bike. Took it for a 10 mile ride, back to bike shop to grab a spare tube and some accessories. Easy cruise.

Went for a ruck, standard hill route, 1+30 and so on. Nice sweat fest.

20 mile gravel ride, up and down hill training. Basically 5 big climbs with fast descents to the next climb. Felt pretty good throughout. Took the gravel bike down a rocky double track for one of the descents, no problems.

On travel, at a hotel with 15 floors.

Did one lap to top taking stairs two at a time, then in the gym at the top grabbed 2 x 30 lb DBs and did a lap down and back, which was a full-on effort. Then did it again with 2 x 20 LBs. Mixed in random push-ups and curls. Good!
