Just to be clear, that was a 2 handed drill and not 1.

PSST....it's easier than ya think. Nice compliment to Swing Snatches ! Try them.

I'll give it a try. Need a heavier bell though, don't think a 53 would do me any good.

Mickey,

The DBs were handed to me by training partner. This drill won't be a keeper.
I hate partial movements!

I keep forgetting you train with someone. For some reason I always thought you trained alone.

You continue to impress. The 3 second pause at the top and 7 second negative is outstanding.

Eddie, I was curious if you have ever read the thread below from the low carb forum started by the guy who goes by "the bear". He is 70 years old and says he is in perfect health. He gives a very good argument about eating a totally carnivorous diet is the true way to eat. I believe it was discussed here a while back. If you have read over it I would like to get your thoughts, if you haven't read it no big deal.

That sounds great Eddie, I appreciate it.

In an essay on diet and exercise on his homepage he references a book called "Eat Fat and Grow Slim" and another called "The Cholesterol Myth" by Uffe Ravnskov. I looked up "The Cholesterol Myth" and it seems to be very interesting. I will probably pick it up at some point as well as the previous book mentioned.

Thanks Eddie!

Yesterday's Training

1 Arm Swings done using 115 lb KB for 5 sets of 5/5.

All swings done to head level. Switch made on the fly.

Today's Training

15 minutes done on Elliptical Machine wearing 150 lb weight vest.

Brutal ! Wanted to quit after about 3 minutes but second wind kicked in.
Great feeling after I finished! Felt refreshed.

Been doing this for the past 6 months , although not with the same load.
I have an 84 lb X Vest and a 40 lb Go Fit Vest. I wore both and added extra 1 lb weights to the X Vest. I have 80 extra lbs on hand and have already loaded the vest to over 140 with no problems. This is the only quad dominant movement I can do because of knee problems.

Bodyweight has been between 170-180 all summer still eating high sat. fat meat only diet and following a IF protocal ( 22 hours between meals )

Tomorrow 2 DB Presses ! Will post more later.

Semper Fi ! Happy B-Day Jarheads.

Yesterday Mid- Morning

2 DB Presses done using 65s for 5 sets of triples

Close Grip Chins done for 5 singles using 100 lb DB

Evening

Swing High Pulls done using 150 lb KB for 10 sets of 5 reps. 30 seconds rest used between sets.

Sometimes I do the high pull drill for 1 near max single set of 25 reps , 3-5 sets of 10-12 reps, or the above. This is the only high rep ballistic KB drill that I do.

My other 2 KB Ballistic drills are 1 Arm Heavy Swings and 2 KB Dead Cleans ( from outside the knees ) Nothing above 5 reps! Many ways to train with KBs. If it " works " for you , it can't be wrong !

Today

Elliptical Machine done for 20 min using 100 lb vest.

Tomorrow Weighted Pushups and Heavy Bag Drill.

Interesting stuff with the elliptical machine and weight vest work. Nice example to thinking outside the box to work in a personalized leg program.
