amazon series based on Michael Connely's novel

Very good, well written, acted, and produced.

I've watched the first six or so, now. I like it too, although the main character is about as exciting as cardboard.

We have a Bosch dishwasher. Quality product. In fact, when we first got it, had to check and make sure it was on because it was absolutely silent.

I didn't know there was a film series.

The dishwasher likely has more personality than the main character on the show.

I just saw this advertised the other day...I like the Bosch books--Connelly doesn't seem to get as much press as a Lehane or a Pelecanos but I think his stuff is pretty damned solid, although for some reason I always pictured Bosch looking like a stockier Robert Goulet (I have no idea why).

Looking forward to checking it out.

From just seeing the title of the thread, I was going to say that I'm a fan of Milwaukee tools. Their cordless drills are awesome!

The Connelly books are good, both Bosch and the Mickey Haller series (Lincoln Lawyer). I do believe they cross paths at one point. Dennis Lehane went to my HS in Boston. His books have made more movies than Connelley, but he's not a ton more famous. Also seems to be a function of Ben Affleck doing the hometown thing as well as Massachusetts' movie friendly tax structure.

If you like stuff from these two you may want to try James Ellroy's L.A. Quartet (currently halfway through the second book myself). The use of period slang is really great and the plot lines are interesting.

FYI Lehane has another book coming out next month.

Finally, Bosch is a fuckin weirdo.

About the dishwasher?

We have one too, and in a lightning strike some years back, it stroked out and now runs through the washing cycle twice. I don't feel like replacing it or the electronic brains (expensive) so we just end up with super clean stuff.

Fuzzy...I sure loved the first few Lehanes--the original Patrick and Angie ones. Mystic River too. The few I have read since have been disappointing to me, esp Moonlight Mile. I thought I wanted to meet Patrick and Angie again but ten pages in and I wanted to punch them both. I would, however, read a book with Bubba as the main character and I wish he'd write one.

I'll have to check out the Ellroy. Right now I am going back through some of the Pelecanos stuff with his older characters, Strange and Stefanos.

Also a Boston HS kid here (Rox Latin)...I'm kind of sick of Boston in general but man I am glad I went to HS in the city. Learned a lot in and out of school.

I had a Bosch driver that was great, but stole out of a truck. We too had a Bosch dishwasher that was an excellent appliance.

I've read all the Pelecanos stuff....really good. He wrote at least one episode of the Bosch season.

Also..the theme music for this is point on. So many shows are spot on with their themes and music selections that when its mediocre it sometimes detracts. Bosch is spot on, maybe not as great as True Detective, but they didn't have the budget either

100% dead on. It's a great theme.

The dude who plays Bosch sort of reminds me of Anthony Bourdain. I also definitely enjoy the redheaded cop he is involved with.

This is one I've wanted to get into, but haven't gotten the chance.

I actually have liked Titus Welliver in other things he's done, but he's never been the lead from what I've seen. Will check soon.

Hazet hand tools FTMFW. But Milwaukee makes good power tools.

I have not yet finished watching season 2...I don't know why, I restarted it and still think it's a fantastic show.

Need to finish up 2 and on to 3

Bosch binge complete. Loved season 1&2. Feared season 3 had jumped the shark but it held up.

For Walking Dead fans, I see that Sophia found a regular pay check and Fear The Walking Dead fans will see that the culty guy who ran the commune & clinic in Tijuana has picked up a good role too.

I'm almost through with the first season and like it a lot. For a while, I thought it moved too slowly. But then I realized I really want to find out what happened, so I guess that is called suspense.
