Source of Free Music for Workouts

Post by nafod » Sun Dec 09, 2007 12:08 pm

Thought this might be nuggetable. Youtube videos are available for most bands now, including some live tracks that are unavailable elsewhere. The quality of the audio is poor, but more than good enough for listening while getting a sweat on. Need to be a Firefox user. Steps to access are:

1. Install the Fast Video Download (FVD) addon into Firefox
2. Find video of choice on youtube
3. After viewing, activate the FVD and save file to your hard drive as a *.flv file
4. Install the SUPER tool, which converts videos to videos and other stuff. . There are others that do similar, but this one is good enough.
5. Convert the *.flv file to a *.mp3 file, i.e., strip off the video and save it as an audio file.
6. Load to player of choice

Again, the quality is not super good, but if you like the song it is good enough. Go and buy the record if you find yourself in love with it.

Firefox and FVD are the bomb. I've heard that other people, filthy reprobates mostly, use it to snag youporn videos.

I only use it for making DVDs of EliteFTS jumpstretch videos and other lofty pursuits.

Or you can just use to find songs and create a playlist on your computer. It apparently uses the audio from youtube clips and other sources on the web.
