I've heard about this book for a long time, but couldn't find a copy. Thanks for posting it. I just read it and plan to change a few things in my work out. What a great book.

Dave, thanks again for posting this book. I have been doing the exercises and stretches for a few months and my shoulder feels great. The behind-the-back stretch is awesome and one I had never seen.

I do have a question. The book recommends 8-12 reps of no more than 20 pounds for the lying fly's, lying L-fly's and standing l-fly's. Any idea why he'd recommend limiting like this?

My Pleasure.

No idea why he makes those recommendations

If I remember correctly, he considers those exercises isolation exercises for small muscles, and that overwork was a big concern. AFAIK, he gives his reasoning in the book, but it's been years since I've read it.

He does say that, but it doesn't make any sense. I'd think you could work small muscles in isolation exercises to get stronger like you could big muscles. I figured it must have something to do with muscle balance and the rotator cuff.

A huge thanks. I bought this book for my dad years ago and of course he lost it...
to buy it used... well lets just say I have seen it for sale for over $100 bucks.

One thing I always remember from this book is
Upright rows are awful for your shoulders.

Looks like you posted this years ago, but I just found it.

Page 66-67 seem to be missing from the scan.
I hate o seem petting and please don't think i'm winging about it, but if anyone has the book and a scanner could they please post them up.
These missing pages seem to cover Dipping, which is (was) one of my favorite exercises until I hurt a shoulder so i'd love to read what they have to say about dipping and shoulder injuries.

Thanks

Thanks again for posting this. It's a great resource, I just sent the link to a checker at the grocery store and a friend of mine. Spent 45 minutes just reviewing it again myself.

If I had known that Hebrew Hammer was gonna get to read it for free, I wouldn't have sent it to you to copy for here. :finga:

BTW folks, those exercises can be better done and with more latitude than dumbells with bands.

Any one got a working link for this? I've managed to fuck up my shoulder again. I've used this to help rehab each time I've done it, but then get bored and stop the program and hurt my shoulder 12-18months later
