JMO, but your not doing brain surgery, you are working out. Just go in and do what you are scheduled to do. If you are sick or worn out, go home and come back the next day after 3-5 meals and a good nights sleep. Otherwise do it. I only focus for PR attempts and i never psyche in the gym. Training needs to be like brushing your teeth, you do it because it is what you do.
After a little while, it will be part of you and thinking about it, except for thinking of better ways to train, will be a non issue.
