50 mg ephidrine, 200 mg caffeine, 81 mg aspirin (one baby aspirin) 3-4 times a day is what Dan "Dead From Supplement Abuse But Really Ripped" Duchaine recommends. Wherever you wish to fall on the dosage issue, the best bet is to liberate yourself from the scumbag supplement industry. Your not quite as odious local health food store sells Ma Huang in the Chinese Herbs aisle, and the baby aspirin and No-Doz can be had at the local drug store. You'll be spending less than a quarter of the money than if you bought the prepackaged stuff.

Other useful herbs include other thermogenics. Try cayenne pepper, also from the tie-die folks at the health food store. 40,000 - 100,000 heat units per dose, 3-4 times a day. Take these with food or be prepared to burn like a m&^%$#er - especially if one gets stuck in your throat and dissolves there. Yohimbe bark is another substance that will elevate your body temperature, from which it derives it's undeserved reputation as an aphrodesiac. Fresh herbs are always best, single-herb capsules from reputable packagers like Nature's Plus are servicable, and the mass market concoctions from outfits like Twinlab always blow.

Not sure on forum etiquette, but...

Duchaine said 50mg E? Everything I've ever read has been 20mg. And unless your very obese, you can probably skip the aspirin.

Don't know if health food stores still carry Ma Huang; but pretty sure supplements can't use ma huang/ehpedra any more. Ephedrine can still be had at gas stations, etc. At least, that's what people say.

That 'nugget' is years old. Ephedra / Ma Huang is indeed no longer so easily available in the USA, but it is not illegal - yet. FDA anounced it would soon be, and everyone stopped selling it for liability reasons. A local HF store still has a large section, but state that they will not be ordering more when current stocks run out. If your truck stop can sell it legally (they can), so can anyone else.

The Duchaine dose is from his book. I always used less, and only one aspirin per day.

Just to be clear, FDA banned ephedra, not ephedrine.
