Was going to run 5 miles, but a friend training for a half marathon called and asked if I would run 8 with her.

So 8 miles at her pace in around 1:20. Not too bad despite the freezing cold fucking rain for the entire run.

Here's my new plan, in case anyone cares.

Day 1
Front Squat 1/2/3 x 3
Bench Press 1/2/3 x 3

Pushups x 25 between squat ladders
Chinups x 10 between bench ladders

2 minutes or less rest between ladders; minimal rest between rungs

Day 2
Power Clean 1/2/3 x 3
OH Press 1/2/3 x 3

Dips x 10 between cleans ladders
Bulgarian x 10 between press ladders

same rest

Day 3
Repeat Day 1; or change to back squat

Run or ruck on days between at least 3 miles; no more than 8.
At least one day of BJJ per week; hopefully two.

BJJ- An hour and change, Butterfly sweep and some light sparring.

I am in no kind of mat shape, but I don't feel damaged just tired.

Adult stuff made me late but I managed to get to open mat tonight for 30 minutes.

6 x 3 minute matches with 30 sec. rest breaks between.

6 miles in the rain with the half marathoner. We ran the front half of the course. Of course, it rained most of the time. I am beginning to see a pattern.

On the good side I have lost about 12 pounds in a little over three weeks and it makes running easier.

Shoulder Press 1/2/3 x 1 @ 115, 1/2/3 x 2 @ 45 DBs (switched to dumbbells made shoulder happier)


10 dips between clean ladders
10 box jumps between press ladders

Superset:
3 x 10 pullup
3 x 5 standing ab wheel

I didn't have a lot of time so the warmup was cut way short; this may have contributed to the weights feeling shitty this morning

Supposed to run 8. My training partner said she was going to puke at mile 3. So 3 mile run out and 3 mile walk back.

Down to 178. That's a 17 pound loss since Sept. 19

Not technically training, but I had my annual physical today and I want to remember some things.

Down 16 pounds from last year.

Cholesterol 155 down from 200+ last year

BP 118/70 down from 152/92 last year

All other blood tests normal as they were last year.

Completed the Run for your Life 5k.

An obstacle run with flag football belt that on-course zombies try to grab.

Basically 12 sprint zones with sharp lateral movements and obstacles the rest of the time was a fast walk. Not athletically challenging but a fun day in the woods overall.

50 reps power clean and push press @ 135 in 14:58

Been sick for three days. I knew I needed to take an easy week.

Last long run for the friend doing the half marathon

10.5 miles in 1:30:57.

Not too bad, but it was windy as hell on the out so the come back felt easy. Calves have tightened up like a bitch. A lacrosse ball is in their future.

dinged bad knee and jammed a toe but i can still walk so it's ok

Mostly inexperienced white belts so played from inferior positions all night. Trying to get my groove back.
