One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Now 4 wrestlers are saying Jordan knew, all purported victims of some “grab’em by the junk”. Trump came out and basically called the victims liars.

I don’t believe them at all. I believe him. Jim Jordan is one of the most outstanding people I’ve met since I’ve been in Washington,” Trump said to reporters during a brief gaggle aboard Air Force One on Thursday. “I believe him 100 percent. No question in my mind. I believe Jim Jordan 100 percent. He’s an outstanding man.”

The alumni members of the Penn State board recently had a meeting (unattended by the rest of the board) to keep arguing about how the university got treated poorly in the whole Sandusky thing since it was everyone else’s fault.

The Jim Jordan bit is controversial, the doctor being a complete creep is not. But he's dead, fortunately for him.

Yeah, watching that from the cheap seats.... These things don't end well
Michigan State received a letter from the NCAA this week that cleared it of any potential violations in the wake of Larry Nassar's abuse and allegations of sexual assault against the school's basketball and football programs, according to the university.

It saddens me that you were completely wrong on this. Fuck the fucking NCAA.

THE Ohio State University decided to join the party.
An attorney preparing a lawsuit against Ohio State University on behalf of more than 50 former athletes who allege they were sexually abused by a team physician told The Associated Press on Saturday that most of his clients were football players from the Buckeyes' storied program, including some who went on to play in the NFL.

Dayton attorney Michael Wright said the abuse happened during required physical examinations at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center and during treatment for injuries and ailments at Dr. Richard Strauss' off-campus clinic and at his home, where he insisted they be seen.

Strauss killed himself in 2005, nearly a decade after he was allowed to retire with honors.

A 232-page investigative report released Friday found that Strauss had sexually abused at least 177 male students, but the report made only one specific reference to football players while listing how many athletes from each team were abused. That list says three football players were interviewed.

Wright said he was not aware that any of his clients were interviewed by investigators from the Seattle-based Perkins Coie law firm.

An Ohio State spokesman declined to comment.

Investigators found that Strauss' abuse went on from 1979-1997 and took place at various locations across campus, including examining rooms, locker rooms, showers and saunas. Strauss contrived, among other things, to get young men to strip naked, and he groped them sexually.

The report concluded that scores of Ohio State personnel knew of complaints and concerns about Strauss' conduct as early as 1979 but failed for years to investigate or take meaningful action.

Did anyone watch the doc on Nasser? Michigan State comes out looking horrible.

SEC has to be getting jealous of all the hot action in the Big 10.

Sandusky is in some rural PA prison. He's in a sixty year sentence. He'll die in prison.

Exactly how much shit does PSU, the Institution, have to eat? Do they have to wear ashes and sackcloth for a generation?

If it wasn’t for the members of the board who keep dragging it back up while trying to exonerate Paterno, no one would even be talking about it.

But there were deep changes in internal PSU policy, that will echo for decades. Bummer.

Like most of the major conferences, the Big 10 is pretty top heavy (the top 25% or so of teams tend to dominate across the major sports)-- now three of the four top schools (PSU, Sparty, and THE Ohio State University) have significant sexual assault scandals that extend beyond individual sports programs and coaches. Lucky for them teh NCAA doesn't really give a shit. I'm betting the NCAA cares less than they did about Terrelle Pryor's tattoo.

TLDR: Recent allegations of prisonsexing threats on the Penn State football team.
Former Penn State football player Isaiah Humphries filed a federal lawsuit Monday against the university, coach James Franklin and former teammate Damion Barber.

The suit alleges that Humphries was subject to hazing brought on by Barber, linebacker Micah Parsons, defensive lineman Yetur Gross-Matos and linebacker Jesse Luketa and that the coaching staff was aware of the hazing and did not protect Humphries.

The allegations include instances when the named players collectively orchestrated, directed and facilitated a campaign to harass and haze underclassmen on the Penn State football team. The hazing alleged in the suit includes the participants stating that they intended to make the underclassmen "their b---- because this is a prison."

The participants allegedly referenced former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky -- who is serving a 30- to 60-year prison term for sexually abusing children -- by saying, "I am going to Sandusky you."

The actions included wrestling underclassmen to the ground while maintaining restraint, simulating a "humping" action; wrestling underclassmen to the ground while another participant placed his genitals on the face of underclassmen; and instances of the participants placing their genitals on the buttocks of the alleged victims and stroking their genitalia.

Penn State released a statement Tuesday, making note of its own investigation into the matter and emphasizing that charges were not filed.

"The university has established processes in place for responding to claims of potential misconduct. In accordance with our processes, the Office of Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response and the Office of Student Conduct carried out investigations of the plaintiff's claims independent from Intercollegiate Athletics," the school said. "In addition, Penn State police investigated related allegations and forwarded the results of that investigation to the Office of the Centre County District Attorney. The DA reviewed the case and decided that no charges would be pursued."
Humphries is being represented by Philadelphia attorney Steven Marino, who says the incident is not isolated to just his client.

"Isaiah attended the school during the calendar year of 2018. He leaves Penn State to another school where he's offered a scholarship in December 2018," Marino said. "The events that arise to an investigation conducted by Penn State's office of sexual misconduct and response, that doesn't arise until May 2019. That investigation was triggered by an anonymous tip and the source of that tip was not my client."

The results of the investigation were then submitted to the Penn State University office of student conduct, according to the lawsuit, and the office of student conduct prosecuted charges lodged against Barber. It is not clear, however, what specific student conduct rule violation he was charged with.

Barber was suspended for the first game of the season, against Idaho, for what was termed at the time of the suspension as a violation of team rules, but he played in the second game, against Buffalo.

Marino says the father of his client, Leonard Humphries, notified the Penn State coaches of the hazing and that no action was taken at the time of those complaints. Leonard Humphries is a former Penn State football player and was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in 1992.

In retaliation for his report, Franklin and his staff required Humphries to participate in drills designed to ensure his failure “to justify an opinion that (his) performance was not sufficient to award him a game playing opportunity,” Marino wrote.

He also claimed his former teammates conspired to encourage him to leave the university, which he did in December 2018. He later transferred to the University of California.

“Jesse Luketa threatened that if (Humphries) ever visited ‘his city’ in ... Canada that he would make certain that (Humphries) was gunned down upon (his) arrival in the city,” Marino wrote.
