      I’m not up on this, but my understanding is that the drugs these guys did back in their days would be considered HRT levels now.

      I’m far from an expert on PEDs, having never even tried them, but there’s no way that’s true.  All of the old pro’s say the same bullshit: “yeah we took some steroids, but only very low doses, nothing compared to what the freaks are doing today.”  Roll eyes.  No, they all got after it, and not just testosterone but dianabol, decadurabolin, primobolan, winistrol, oxandrolone, trenbolone, etc.

      His squatting style gives me no issues systemically. When I went back to powerlifting style everything broke again.

      In my limited experience, every body has a preferred squatting pattern.  Some are more high bar, some more low, some hybrid.  I think it’s better to squat the way your body “wants” to squat rather than try to parrot some form that doesn’t feel natural.

      I heard stories of guys shitting deca tabs they were taking so many. I don’t know if that’s even possible, but imagine what their livers must have looked like

      You’re right. That’s what I get for trying to conform!

       

      I  am one of the hybrid ones, mostly my body moves in a power squat groove but my bar placement is comparatively high.  I give not one single fuck that it may not be optimal for PL competitions.  That said, I am a natural squatter.  My brother has very long femurs and almost can’t squat at all.
