    • Over the course of the pandemic I built from 4-6 cups to 10-12 cups of coffee a day.

      My sleep turned to shit, my shits to soup.

      Three weeks ago, after food poisoning, I quit cold turkey.

      My sleep is way improved (took a day), my dumps look normal vs. like a water balloon of diarrhea dropped from a 4 story building (took a couple weeks), and my energy is very high (took a couple weeks).

      How does caffeine work for you?

      I’m a 1-2 cup a day guy most days. If I’m really low on energy and/or putting in enough work that I start to lag, I’ll add an energy shot or something.

      Caffeine has to be pretty high doses for me to really feel anything. I don’t get hyper or agitated unless I’m fasted and like 4 or 5 cups in before noon. Then it kinda sucks and my stomach isn’t happy either.

      It’s probably been 15 years, fresh out of college, since I’ve really done that though.
