I may be old fashioned, but I am not thrilled about the new version.

For starters, I think it should be called Irongarm, not IGX. I think it’s only fair to Garm who started it.

On the main page of the old forum you could see if there are new topics in the subforums. Also, the number of views of your posts. It’s mobile version also not very good. For example, YouTube videos don’t get adjusted for the width of the screen and are cut off on the right side.

What do you guys think?

It’s certainly different, and I haven’t figured out everything yet.  I’m gonna be traveling for a while so I expect you guys to work out the bugs while I’m gone.  Don’t let me down.

Time to adjust the HTTP stuff so we come here, with a link here for going back to the old days.

 

The design is frankly hard on the eyes. Any way you can set the styles to make it more like the old one would be appreciated.

 

It is ghey that I can upvote my own post. In fact, upvoting and downvoting is ghey.

Well I just downvoted this post, but I dunno.

It’s got a very 2015 comment section on your least favorite political sites kind of feel to it with the up and downvoting, but I can see how it could be okay, so let’s see how it works out.

And thanks to dux for even thinking it’s time to upgrade from phpbb or whatever the old forum software was.

Thanks for setting all this shit up…

Couple things:

1) Miss the old rectangular format. Right now posts get smushed around the avatars.

2) Not sure how to underline, italicize, or create gaps properly. So all the words get mashed together too.

I am at my desktop right now, and it seems some problems I mentioned are relevant mostly for the mobile version. However, most of the time I spend here I am using the mobile, so it would be nice if it was fixed.

Put the Right Now I’m Reading back on the free speech forum, not in the product reviews forum.

I miss the aesthetics of the old site.

I really don’t like up vote/down vote.

That being said, I appreciate the effort to get us onto a more modern, stable platform.  (I hope it is more modern and stable.)

I am still not thrilled about the new forum. I don’t know, the new format doesn’t seem to be very friendly. Compared to the old version it seems the activity dropped out quite sharply. It’s a pity to see this place dying out. It was fun while it lasted.
