<p>If I&#8217;m good about tissue work, mobility, and strengthening, I can squat light, deadlift medium (for me) weight, and I walk a minimum of 5 miles a day, and often go up to 15 or so with no pain.</p>

I was warm enough through my legs and hips that I was able to have a squat session. It was pussy weights, but everything was active enough that I was able to squat under control and without pain.</p>

<p>I have a relatively minor tear of the labrum in my left hip. Outcomes aren&#8217;t all that great for the procedure my surgeon wanted to do. </p>

<p>I rarely end up flossing 2x/day, too. I always floss at night, and after certain meals you don&#8217;t have a choice, but adding a mid day flossing isn&#8217;t something I&#8217;ve really done. </p>

I have low lat insertions and feel a better contraction that way, but if I do go wide, or if I do something like a row to chest and I want to emphasize the rhomboids and traps, it doesn&#8217;t hurt. </p>

<p>Wider grip or hand placement for any horizontal pressing makes my shoulders feel achy. Actually, I take a similar grip width for my overhead presses. Maybe a little wider for behind the neck presses.</p>

Bands or Mark Bell&#8217;s Slingshot are super useful for overloading the strongest position while preventing excess stress in the weaker, lengthened position.  They work differently, but have a similar effect.</p>
