Thanks, Bram! No real goals for mountain biking except to keep having as much fun as possible and to ride as much as possible. I would love to make more trips out to Western North Carolina this year. Thanks!Good to see you posting! Congratulations on the puppy, and any new goals for your mountain biking?

Yeah, I’ve been really slack about updating this. Basically it’s been mostly rucking and walking the new pup (adopted a black lab mix) and yoga with some riding.

I’ve only seen it a couple times, and they were all identifying in the conventional manner. That said, I find it annoying. I wish I were an eagle, soaring along canyons, but I’m not. I’m a male human. Physiognomy easily identifies me as such. No matter how I *choose* to identify – I’m a human male. Likewise, no matter how you *choose* to identify, you are male or female, and aside from some very obscure cases, you are *only* male or female. Whatever you want to be called in your fantasy group is fine, but you haven’t the least of my sympathy, if someone, noting that you are biologically an X, calls you an X.
Stick
This. I just ignore that dumb shit.

An update on my cousin. He’s a wonderful person, but has been battling depression for years. He was an avid rock climber and yoga practitioner, but he quit both about a year ago, hasn’t been working, and we (his family) couldn’t get him to see a therapist or psychiatrist.
After numerous failed attempts, over a period of years, trying to persuade him to change, I started calling him, sometimes daily, and asking what’s up…how’s it going? And so on.
We spent a week in June, where I gave him a little workout routine, we did a yoga class, a hike, played chess, and climbed together.
He’s kept the workouts ups, then recently met a girl, hung out a few times…and now he has his first girlfriend! And his confidence and self-esteem are so improved, the best I’ve ever seen. It’s awesome seeing him flourish as a person! He’s looking for work, exercising often, finally helping his parents around the house, and so on.
I spent a few years trying to tell him what to do…and a little bit of time just being his friend. Being a friend was much more valuable.
That’s great news, Bram!!!
Was on vacation at the beach last week. Didn’t do as much as I planned. One day of rucking and one day of yoga. More fishing, swimming, and relaxing on the beach drinking beer.

Getting interested in ETK again. One of my all time favorite programs. Will see how the shoulders hold up. So far, so good.
I haven’t been good about updating my training lately, obviously, but it’s basically been riding, rucking, and yoga. Heading to the mountains in the morning for a long weekend so will hopefully get in at least one day of hiking. Planning on wearing my rucksack with at least 20 pounds. kthnxbye
