He's been assimilated. Resistance was futile.

Good job Shape for changing the direction of this stupid thread. Hell if we can help this guy get a little stronger, he could be a candidate for SEPT maybe.

Last year I had the realization of self that includes personal dissatisfaction with performance/appearance and that little something which results from pride. Mainly I was fat and weak. Problem was I didn’t know what to do. My wife deployed overseas so I decided to try a life change while she was gone and I figured I’d do this p90x business and live on a diet of Healthy Choice meals. That was great for getting to the point where I could run a mile and a half in twelve and lose about 30 pounds but still didn’t teach me much about strength.

Then I found Starting Strength, wow- a method, a program? And I could get a barbell set for 150 bucks. I started that program last August and soon found there was a website… with a forum. I went there craving knowledges and found a ton of doosh instead. In one particularly lame and unhelpful thread someone said something like, “You think this is a scary place to post, you should try IGX, those guys are relentless evil bastards.”

Naturally I investigated, hand quivering as I tried to mouse the pointer to the search button. I found a whole new world- stuff about kettlebells and ladders and picking up big rocks and throwing telephone poles. The couch thread, it took me about 3.5 months but I read every page- learning names and personalities and watching some drop away never to be heard from again.

I discovered Dan John, read Never Let Go and became an instant fan. PL54 is my internet hero. Shaf and ladders (which I think I’m ready to incorporate), WGM and my love for andro broads: lots of great people here.

Anyway, that’s me. I’m mainly here to log a training journal and I figured that with the weird respect/love/hate thing I have going for this place, and since I read the site everyday anyway, I may as well dip my toe into the hot tub that is IGx.
Holy fuck, this is supposed to be a former Marine?

Let's try to help him get stronger and fitter and maybe get his head right so that if he has to arrest one of you cretins he won't be compelled to empty his Glock into you because you have a toothpick in your hand.

I think "hot mess" is a better description.

I'd just like to use your intro thread to mention that we are about Oh-for-Fifty on Air Force guys showing up and sticking around after their intro.

(and about Many-for-Many on gyrenes, so don't go throwing off my numbers here.)

I'd say that it would be nice having his input in the Officer Friendly thread, but we've got EZ to provide perspective.

Therefore, this dude can leave.

Hi. Answer your fucking radio. Stop sitting on bullshit calls for four hours. Don't make me send you the same place six times a shift because you were too lazy to do the job right the first time.

Welcome to IGX, now fuck off.

Nafod, I grabbed it from what I thought was a legit site but if you are getting any warnings I apologize.
