One can't help seeing the parallels between the current Islamic jihad in France with those of the secular atheist Reign of Terror which presided during its revolutionary period.

Indeed, it was the brutality and bloodlust shown towards the clergy that finally turned public opinion against Robespierre. Perhaps a similar awakening might just happen today.....

And then what? Kill all Muslims in France, including French citizens? Deport all Muslims, including French citizens?

There is no real solution that will eliminate terror without expunging the religion, and nobody would ever suggest that.

What I mean is, you always speak about it like it's one big block. The individual countries are much more culturally diverse than the various states in the USA.

Ignore them. Most Americans don't even know Europe is a country.

I think most Americans think of European countries as quite different from each other, but generally more similar to each other than they are to the US.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

once the land of empires, europe is now a bunch of little countries--rainy, below sea level, dark and cold, on the brink of bankruptcy. it's a cautionary tale.

I heard that in Europe there are strange electrical plugs that are different from the real kind. How can people live like that?

There's no clean way out of this.

Either the western world is going to get their hands, and their souls, dirty, by doing the things necessary to protect their way of life, or they will slide under the weight of shit religion and shit living.

We know the issue at it's core, Fundamental Islam. We know where it festers, in Mosques. It is NOT the Religion of Peace, it is the Religion of Pieces. We have to call a spade a spade. So as for me and my house if a Muslim enters an establishment i am in and they act in any way suspicious, first i am getting me and my family out of there.
Second, i am prepared to shoot back. And this goes as well for any color of thug, skinhead, or crack head.

We can all get along, as long as you stay out of my safe zone.

Perhaps it's not inevitable but it seems that when you reach a certain concentration of muslim atoms the, "we're taking over" bomb goes off.

I love the neolibs' method for increasing diversity. Overthrow governments and bomb the shit out of civilians, then ship the survivors over here as refugees.

dr. peaceandlove,

i can't teach you nothing.

this isn't a "war" that can be won militarily. sure we need to protect ourselves, and killing a fuckton of crazies should make things more difficult for them (and improve our emotional state), but when the caliphate is busted, the survivors will slip back into the civilian population, still pissed and plotting (e.g. iraqi baathists). there's not going to be any surrender, no hirohito with head bowed.

the brits didn't "defeat" the catholics in n. ireland (ahh, christianity, the religion of peace), and i don't see how the west is going to use things that explode to defeat a dispersed cult of one branch (sunni) of islam

This is exactly what the Buddhists are doing in Burma:

Myanmar Policy’s Message to Muslims: Get Out

It's actually quite easy to do if you have the will to do it. But our liberal leaders and their Moslem hordes share one very important goal: the total destruction of traditional Western civilization. Once you grasp that fact, everything - and not just the immigrant issue (either Moslem or Mestizo) - makes sense.
