This is why it's so easy to declare that people are gun nuts. They hadn't even determined how many shooters there were or how many kids were killed when all over social media you saw people saying that now people are going to be wanting to ban guns, that if teachers had assault weapons under their desks this wouldn't have happened, etc.

I know some pretty far left wing people and I don't think that I ever remember any of them saying that we need to round up all guns and make them illegal - it would be nice and effective but certainly not legal or possible. Equating "gun control" and "gun laws" with banning guns is an irrational argument designed to prevent reasonable discussion and provoke emotional responses from people who don't understand that there are colors other than black and white in the world.

I spent a fair amount of time today thinking about the demonic vision from hell the first responders saw today. Viewing a roomful of murdered kindergarteners has got to seriously fuck up someones soul and psyche.

It's just that as a father and a husband, i know mothers, having given birth, have that biological bond with their children that men just don't have. My wife would torture herself going over every interaction you mentioned Lie-Napp. She would remember every terse, short, or angry word she said to her child that day.

Agreed....my wife is 'stay at home' and I get to work from home enough to see it near daily. My 6 y/o daughter is clueless about today's events but she was happily surprised that I picked her up from the bus stop today.
