Or Angie, Cindy\Mary, followed by Barbra posted last week. The WOD cycle screamed "overuse" to the point that one poster on mainpage comments (with screen name "J") posted a question to Dr.Bingo whether it was his medical belief that so many pullups would be harmful.Or maybe, just maybe, it was the 100 pull-ups and push-ups you did on 11/16, the 45 thrusters and 45 pull-ups on 11/17, and the 45 "cleans" you did on 11/18. Just fucking maybe.
Dont bother looking for Dr.Bingos reply or "J"s question. The "J" comment was yanked by moderaters within a few hours. I wonder why

I've done 500 dead hang pullups in a week when I was tryin to climb 5.12 (never gonna happeng). But I prob. did sets of 10 or 15. It's swingin around the bars like a jackass and working out while you're injured that's harmful. If I ever feel a shoulder twinge I cease anything shoulder intensive immediately. I'm just a pussy like that.Volume Knob Goes To 11 wrote:posted a question to Dr.Bingo whether it was his medical belief that so many pullups would be harmful.

He said it was a six-week wrist injury, so I went back six weeks in the WAD archive. Lo and behold, there was a clear string of workouts that could have been the breaking point in an overuse injury.Volume Knob Goes To 11 wrote:Or Angie, Cindy\Mary, followed by Barbra posted last week. I find this hard to believe, given Castro's genius programming.POD wrote: He said it was a six-week wrist injury, so I went back six weeks in the WAD archive. Lo and behold, there was a clear string of workouts that could have been the breaking point in an overuse injury.

Last I checked, they were humans, not gods. Michael Phelps has proven exactly nothing regarding his ability as a distance runner or a weightlifter. Usain Bolt has not demonstrated one iota of ability in the pool or with the discus.
If I claimed to be faster than Bolt, I should expect to be laughed at until I prove it on the track. If he claims to be fitter than Mikko Salo, then we'll see him at Aromas.
Now, I actually agree that many international level athletes would do quite well at the Games. But it's just speculation until they show up.

Of course, we'll never really know how "fit" Bolt is until we see him drive a stake into the ground.

Fucking stupid. In military college I oft invented workouts for plebes when I was a budding sado-masochist, with a focus on smoking them without physical gain. They almost all included monkey fuckers and monkey rolls. This looks like one of them.MONDAY 100104
Three rounds for time of:
12 Muscle-ups
75 Squats
Post time to comments.
I should start making WAD's
50 monkey fuckers, 50 flutter kicks (4 cnt), 50 yard sprint. 30 minutes, post no. rounds to comments.

asstro is just a name used as the director of programming, but his real job is just to take the superbly programmed workout from couch to the webmaster for loading on the site. Let's give credit where credit is due. The couch is the master programmer.protobuilder wrote:I find this hard to believe, given Castro's genius programming.POD wrote: He said it was a six-week wrist injury, so I went back six weeks in the WAD archive.
