Yes to her.

But that first one should come with a warning. It is not the gayest thing in this thread (or even close really to the average @Fit faggot) but I have a feeling the gay + black = a couple of dudes heads exploding on here.

This dude is really irking the @fitters:
Re: Mikko Salo - Sisu

I loved watching Mikko's documentary

But let's face facts

Mikko is the fittest crossfitter on the planet, nowhere near the fittest man on the planet.

The true fittest man on the planet is too busy making mega bucks in his chosen sport to worry about the Crossfit games.

The top guys in crossfit are excellent athletes and head and shoulders above most of us mere mortals but let's be really honest, most of them couldn't quite make it at a pro level at other sports and thus have tried their hand at crossfit. E.g. Rob the strongman never got to any decent level on strongman and would be embarrassed in strong by a Derek Poundstone. But compared to the average crossfitter, hes a damm strong lad.

Even Mikko was only a semi professional soccer player in the Finnish league (one of the lowest in europe). You don't think if Mikko was a truly talented soccer player that he wouldn't be playing for AC Milan in Serie A instead of crossfitting ?

If the prize for winning the crossfit games suddenly became a million dollars, trust me you would see olympic level pro athletes try their hand at crossfit and they would wipe the floor with everyone currently competing. That's a fact

One year of trainng just to get used to the workouts would be enough for a top level athlete. Some of the guys in the NFL would be wrecking machines !
The responses are very butthurt-ey.

So basically what you're saying is that Couch invented Parkour. Noted.

Parkour is gayer than hell or a kid's game. It fits in well with many @Fitter's lives.

Now that the truth has been spoken look at this nigger:
Wow, it's been a long time since I posted here. This is a follow-up to this thread:

http://www.board.crossfit.com/showthread.php?t=49850 (WFS)

Here's what went down. Later that day, my mom's friend (who thought she knew better) talked my mom out of listening to her doctor. I'm still livid about that.

My mom went 5 months without making any progress or doing anything about her state of being.

It's taken more health scares and more members of the family expressing her concerns to get her to finally start thinking about it again. She's had non-stop bladder infections and a pule of 90bpm for the past month. My brother also spent some time talking with her about some things, and I think the two of us together really helped.

I got her to watch The Biggest Loser (new season that just started). She cried her way through most of it.

So, here are her stats. She's 5 foot 4 inches, well over 300lbs. She's had one full knee replacement and she has to have the other done this year. She also has a hernia.

I'm making up a daily diet for her consisting of around 200 calories. Mostly meats, fruits, vegetables, and very little grains. I'm going to get her fully off them, but it's going to take a couple weeks (as she's stubborn). We're getting her to try to get any movement, as she's sedentary. We're hoping to get her started going to the pool to do some water-walking.

There's no way the woman could CrossFit right now (duh), but I need to get her moving. With the hernia and bad knees, and eleveated pulse, I know I'm limited. I need a list of daily movements I could get her started on that would be safe for her condition, but worth-while.

Some things that have been on my list:

Beginning deadlift - possibly with an 8lb med ball using a chair
Shoulder press with tiny dumbells
Pulldowns with a resistance band (If I can rig it up)

Other than that, I'm going to get her doing a few minutes of walking a day, plus hitting the pool as much as I can get her up there.

Any nutritional / exercise advice is appreciated. Let's keep it constructive.

Cliff's Notes: Mom is really overweight and sick. Trying to get her on a paleo program. Have limited ideas for exercise due to her condition (hernia, bad knees, elevated heart rate). Need help.
He couldn't really be putting his mom on a 200 calorie/day diet could he?

Maybe he expects the remaining calories will be supplied by the fat in her ass and the eliteness that is @Fit. Maybe the 200 calories is a Zone M&M SuperCookie.

And a new injury...almost every cornerstone exercise for @Fit seems to really be fucked up. You lurkers need to take note.
Knee pain from thrusters

Im sure you guys get millions of threads like this and i apologize for being 1,000,001 but Im obviously new to xfit, and i did my 3rd ever WOD today. No medicine ball so i subbed thrusters.

Now after doing them im getting some pain only in my right knee here

http://yfrog.com/j6seifkneeanatomy01j (fws)

Upper outer side of my knee. Above the knee cap and to the right. Pain only exists when i squat down or bend down. Doesn't hurt to bend the knee only when pressure is applied when bent. Also hurts when you press on the weak spot.

I have somewhat of an idea what it could be caused from

Towards the end of every round in the WOD the workout obviously becomes quite difficult. My form breaks slightly and my knees went a little to far out infront of my toes? possibility?

I used running shoes? possibility?

just sore? possibility?

Whatever it is just wondering what i can do. Is the common rest, message, and ice gonna do the trick? and should i be good to go friday for the wod?!

He's a @Fitter so it's possible. But with the ingredient list I think I think it's a typo.

I'd LOL at him having a 300# senior who needs a knee replacement start deadlifting, but it's pretty sad.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

I thought I recognized Skip from his starring role in Indiana Jones and the last crusade.

Good to know he was not a one hit wonder and was able to find a place in @fit. Good for you skip. Now go eat something because i have seen mangy dogs in Tijuana with more meat on their bones.

Is it me or does this dude drink the blood of the young?

Maybe meniscus from his knees caving at the bottom. I remember my first meniscus pain. Chop blocked during a rugby match by a 140 lb winger during an exhibition game. I complained about it until a female friend of mine who played D1 soccer showed me her ACL scars and told me to shut the fuck up. That was a low point in my life.

Moral of story for the lurkers- shut the fuck up.

The actual "baby" of the Cash Money conglomerate is a guy named Lil' Wayne, who, at 24 years old, was the youngest member of the Louisiana-based label. Lil' Wayne (nee: Dwayne Michael Carter) came into much prominence in his own right as an artist, and has been credited with possessing an excellent lyrical cadence that has driven his record sales well into the millions.

But their rhyming skills aren't what has landed Lil Wayne - who also goes by the monikers of "Birdman, Jr.", "Weezy F. Baby", "Weezy (something unprintable) Baby" or "Tha Carter" - and the real Baby Baby on the tongues of multiple hip-hop heads as of late.

What has set the email boxes abuzz is a photograph of Lil' Wayne and Baby planting a kiss smack dab on one another's lips. Immediately, the machismo-filled world of hardened rappers and wannabe rhymers explained away the image as something doctored or Photoshoped, reasoning that manly heroes like Lil' Wayne and Baby would never attempt such a move.

Yet recently, Baby finally addressed the firestorm of controversy in an interview with DJ Uptown Angela on Q93, a Clear Channel station in New Orleans, and admitted that the photo only expressed the real father/son relationship that exists between Baby and Lil' Wayne.

"Before I had a child, Wayne and all of them were my children, you heard me?" Baby said, using the same colloquialisms often spouted by other New Orleans native sons like Master P and Juvenile.

"Wayne to me is my son - my first-born son - and that's what it do for me," Baby told Uptown Angela. "That's my life, that's my love and that's my thing. That's my lil' son. I love him to death."

But he did enlighten me with showing the newest guy to take the Guinness Book of World Records title as World's Fittest Endurance Champion.
