Loads of information about what "core strength" means. OK, it's actually a couple of minutes of patent nonsense. But there is a cool stick figure at the end.
Preach it, my leader.
Also, looks like couch just woke up and sounds like he has a cold.

his immune system is suppressed from all of the cutting-edge-of-elite workouts he experiments on himself with. poor guy never gets time to let his body recover, such is his tireless dedication to making the world a better place.Sofa King wrote:LO fucking L at the video. Devil is in the details. What workouts did the athlete do? Some posters already asked that question. The 365 SQ/565 DL split is abnormal and tells me the athlete is long and lanky. Come on Proto, you know it take years to break him and then build him back up before you could even attempt a max on such a complicated pattern of human movement.protobuilder wrote:Yes but what's his best med ball squat?BobW wrote:

Oh, cmon guys, he can't be that strong. He doesn't have bumper plates stacked all the way to the end of the bar to make it look like he's lifting a shitload of weight. I mean, what's this iron stuff he's using?BobW wrote:

Re: The couch thread
I was at that seminar..Wendler was funny as shit. This was part of his top 10 list which was about 12 or 13. Dave Tate was there chiming in, Vince Decenzo was there and I forget who else from Elite. If you notice Ferrugia is in the background. Cosgrove was about 3 people to the left of Ferrugia. Another scary ass guy is Murph who you see pacing behind Wendler with the bald head and long goatee. Murph can kill a guy with a look.
During the "hands on" portion of the seminar Wendler was showing people how to squat. He had an average looking guy load the bar with 135lbs and told him to start squating. Wendler made some corrections in his technique and told him to keep squating and then he started to talk about something else as the guy kept squating. The guy must have done over 30-40 reps before he just collapsed mid squat. Wendler just turned and looked at the guy and said "Dude it's only 135".

All I can say is, I see couch's red face and combine that with a bit of his known history, I think of liver symptoms (Traditional Chinese Medicine ones):

You know, as much shit as we give Couch, the guy knows how to make money. Here's the latest nugget of genius: the $1,000 pre-cert certification.
http://www.regonline.com/builder/site/D ... tid=812441
Spend $1,000 for a weekend in preparation to spend $1,000 to take your "Level 2" certification. And lulz that the Level 1 now offers a "certificate of attendance".
