The human body's capacity for adaptation is both incredible and essential for our survival. All over the world animals are forced to evolve to the point of where their survival is not only possible, but probable. From the dawn of time-until now the Earth is constantly changing. The only thing certain is inevitable change. Climates are shifting, variations in water elevation, ozone layer, and etc. Any species that die out during these times, were unprepared for adaptation. If our planet NEVER remains stagnant, why should you? This is why I am different! This is why I am CrossFit. This is what differentiates most of us from them!
All I can say is that, if it's him or me, it's gonna be me. I don't think Tran will adapt him to taking a machete to the face.

Josh doesn't need this. He's a real weightlifter. I could win this shit (hell, by default since I'd be in the 105kg).Quack Attack wrote:This is practically designed for Josh Everett to crush.syaigh wrote:USA Weightlifting/CrossFit Open
If they can do other people's stuff almost as well as other people can do it, why do @Fers keep making up their own shit? "Here's a great idea, let's shit on an Olympic sport by having some slapdick skip rope and fuck around on some monkey bars."
I was near retiring from my @F hate, but things like this turn me into George Foreman. Assholes.

USA Weightlifting/CrossFit Open
The Crossfit / USA Weightlifting Open will feature athletes competing in three disciplines: the Olympic-style snatch and clean & jerk as well as a third CrossFit event called the Triplet. The Triplet will be as many rounds as possible in 10 minutes of six squat cleans (55kg men / 30kg women), 12 pull-ups and 24 double unders. Athletes will compete in the seven women’s and eight men’s Olympic weight divisions as they vie for titles.
"We're very pleased to offer this unique competition with USA Weightlifting. Athletes will now be able to compete in a multi-modal event that includes both weightlifting using standard international competition rules and a 10-minute CrossFit Triplet. Not only will the winners of each division have to demonstrate outstanding strength, power and weightlifting technique, but also the additional fitness required for the CrossFit Triplet," said Dave Castro, CrossFit's Director of Training. "A huge thanks to Rick Adams and USAW for hosting the event."

Seems like another example of creating a "sport" that @fitters will excel in. Moving the goal posts indeed.Gin Master wrote:"Here's a great idea, let's shit on an Olympic sport by having some slapdick skip rope and fuck around on some monkey bars."

Nope. They're throwing the shot and discus. I'm not renewing my USAW card ever again. Maybe IPF can partner with @F and add an exciting burpee-thruster event to make up for those 900 totals. Maybe NASGA won't be introducing a PVC caber anytime soon.Rant_ wrote:Another reason why strong guys in the USA don't go into Oly.

Who the hell needs to do a "squat clean" with only 55kg? I had thought about joining USAW and competing in some WL meets, but this has forced a boycott. If I could sue Rick Adams for being a cuntwhistle, I would.
Clearly, four 55kg squat cleans is more work performed than the above insect's 200kg clean. Extrapolate that work over ten minutes, and the power output is mind-boggling compared to Mr Singular-Time-Domain. Add in the broad modal variance of pull-ups and double unders, and you have an elite motherfucker. I'd like to see that fat fuck Rezazadeh do 50 double-unders after clean and jerking 263kg. The answer is, he can't, and is another example of eliteness being divined from competition and not debate.

Re: The couch thread
WLs in the below the 105kg weight classes should do pretty well in the X fit "triplet", if any show up to do it.
I propose a board short singlet be designed and adopted as official costume for this ecumenical event.

you all know what's going to happen, right? Some O lifter that no one has ever heard of will crush the triplet, fuck the Crossfitter's until they love him, eat their lunch, and steal their chain wallets.Quack Attack wrote:A birdie told me that an objective of the attempt at scoring the OL/@F comp is to weight the OL total approximately the same as the Triplet. This competition was designed and is desired to be scored so that insect OLers can't win. The Triplet was tested by @Fers beforehand to figure out how to score it and weigh allotted points properly. Typical @F stacking the deck behavior.
Embarrased that even when they stack the deck they still get clobbered, this will all quietly dissapear. Anybody remember the arm-wrestling cert? Me neither.
HQ might as well start challenging sports' governing bodies to stake a wager on a balloon race around the world.
