No need for that since Buddy sells rope. You may however have to bring your own headband.Gary John wrote:I'm trying to get more info on a jump rope cert.
Is x-fit the only one who offers this?
And, do I need to bring my own jump rope if I go?
Thanks ahead of time.

I am an excellent jump-roper and more handsomer than Buddy Lee to boot. My cert is 8 hours in a relatively safe public park in beautiful Durham, North Carolina.Gary John wrote:I'm trying to get more info on a jump rope cert.

8 hours, lunch at The Dog House is provided, and you don't have to bring your own rope, for only $500.

I like the guy doing wall ball. I always though you were supposed to THROW the ball at an angle and bouce it off the target instead of push press it and then catch it as it bouces off the way. It's painful to watch. Plus, he's another doofus with tattoos and his shirt off. Just wait until XF catches on with the male gay community.
The sumo DL high pull is one of those movements designed by committee....doesn't do anything good, plus the internal rotation fo the shoulders at the top is going to lead to some shoulder issues. Plus the load is essentially crap.
Someone needs to delve into the effects lactic acid has upon the precious type IIb and IIa muscle fibers.

Embrace your inner hypocrite, Shaf. Once you have fully acknowledged your inner asshole it's the next steps towards enlightenment.Hahahah. As far as I'm concerned Couch's penchant for good food and drink is a virtue. I cannot find fault in that unless I really want to delve into hypocrisy.

WTF is up with Glassass and all this fancy talk? He talks like he wants to be the Professor but unfortunately looks like the Skipper from Gilligan's island.

8 Double Front Squats...Farmer Walk...8 Double Front Squats...FW for up to 8 circuits.
The Double Eagle: Same. Dragging a sled.
Version II. Same, dragging a sled, but loading and dragging everything back to the start.
It is a conditioner for football. It feels "game-like" for the second level (linebackers and corners and strong safety)...according to the kids.

Re: The couch thread
1. No time to rest means no time to get distracted.
2. Earning points makes it competitive, thus fun.
(3. They're doing something they've never done.)
I had to replace some of the moves due to equipment constraints. Out was the SDLHP and rows. In were push ups and jump rope. I may have used stretch bands and made up another move like a thruster. Not sure.
Otherwise, I agree about form. I've done "wallball" with CF'ers. I did it as Prof. Shafley states. Throw it at an angle using both hands and 3/4 squat (for most, this is full). Even in the video, you can see one arm throws being used to conserve energy. Isn't that against the common wisdom of the workout?

take your current front squat 1RM, double that number. That is your new goal for a 1RM front squat.

This makes my fucking teeth hurt everytime I see this shit.
More fucking ego building for the zombie hordes.
I learned the value of a serious warm up by training with real MMA fighters and the gawddamned AssFit warm up is not that.
This is just something else Glasshole stole from Dan John and claimed as his own.

The 1st guy came in on a Sunday with a big group of my people and I put them through AOS:Newport. He was toast. My woman had a great time with him. He was all heart & gutted it out. His form was decent, and I tweaked it here and there. BUt he was smoked at the end
The 2nd was there a few weeks later and I did a fairly inncuos 45 minutes workot of presses, sumo squats, swings & snatches His orm was atrocious & he wouldnt listen. He came back a few days later and we did something harder, Providence I think. He made it through ok, but his form never improved. All about how heavy he could go and how fast.

"Good luck and anything you do with a great partner will be rewading. As President and Counsel of the he-man-@fit-disdainer club, i can opine that you will get skinnier and able to do a lot more unpredictable number of jumping jacks. This is a program made for those who have done other things well and now want to be at least mediocre mediocre at lots of other things.
Still, there is some value to it.
Notes
1. Pukie is for idiots and cool aid drinkers. Rhabdo is for dead people.
2. Almost everybody scales the workouts.
3. Don't push the time hard until you round into a bit better condition.
4. Super high rep ring dips, and chins and high rep Oly lifts are absurd.
5. Everything works for a while. Everything stops working eventually.
6. Not many @fitters above 200lbs.
7.Hard to go wrong with front squats, jerks, deads, pullups, and rings. But they do.
Seriously good luck. You never know until you try something. Even i as the president will eventually try some of this to hone my rapier like criticism"

It was REAL thin in Feb. 2002. Thank God we all wrote articles and posted on DD so the manual could be beefed up. Seriously.Danny John wrote:Thank you, Jim. Yes, a t-nation article that has been now copyrighted by those who read the article...

Why are you stealing CF materials and putting them on your DVDs and webcasts? Asshole.Danny John wrote:I swear that the video on "Heels" sounds like my DVD and the webcast I gave at the West Coast Test Fest...and the workshop I gave in Santa Cruz with my brother, Gary at XFitHQ.
