Re: The couch thread
I feel bad for the people who are outraged over the uniform rule at the Games, but I think I should draw their attention to page 842 of this august couch thread, where it was declared that Reebok would fuck it all up.

I love how Saran keeps implying nobody got rich off of the Reebok deal, kind of like how retards think if you scream louder than the other retard, that means you're right.
Re: The couch thread
And I keep thinking, if no money changed hands, he's either lying, playing semantics....or HQ is even dumber than I thought b/c what kind of deal results in you NOT GETTING PAID, BITCHES??Shafman wrote:I love how Saran keeps implying nobody got rich off of the Reebok deal, kind of like how retards think if you scream louder than the other retard, that means you're right.

Re: The couch thread
I have played injured on a few occasions. In every case, it was because I wasn't sure how bad it was, and I wanted to win, and nobody really knew I was seriously hurting except the ref and my opponent. I wasn't hurt bad enough that I wasn't still in the running for a win, and I did win on every occasion except one, and hanging in that time was a mistake I still regret when it rains.
Playing obviously hurt, just to finish and lose - you are just being a melodramatic attention whore. It isn't the passion of the christ, it is a sporting competition, if you're hurt bad, you lost, shut the fuck up and go home.

But when I stand in front of the mirror and really look, I wonder: What the fuck happened here? Jesus Christ. What a beating!

You assume the hurt, the injury, aren't the goal.

I'm amazed at how often this poster I made a year or two ago keeps popping up on people's walls on Facebook, sometimes with irony attached and sometimes with admiration. It's funny to see something you made go viral.protobuilder wrote:ccrow wrote:I have played injured on a few occasions. If that is the case, it makes sense. Regardless of what CF charges, it has to be less than a professional Dominatrix.

Re: The couch thread
call me a cynic, but i must question the legitimacy and or the severity of an injury like this that one is able to 'power' thru for what seems like a sustained effort.ThespianDouche wrote:I don't know, maybe it's cause I'm old, but unless there is money, your life or a gold medal on the line, fuck playing through legtimate injuries.
having separated my shoulder before, i don't recall the arm even really functioning. or maybe i just wasn't dumb enough to try. anyway, i see people fake injuries (blow minor tweaks all outta proportion) all the time so everyone will tell them how hardcore they are.
sounds like there's some video of this snafu, but i'm not gonna waste my time watching it to determine if i should take back my opinion that this is just some extra giant attn whoring, because if that's not it, then this bitch is even stoopiderer and doesn't deserve a 'my bad, dawg.'
have you ever been as far as even considered go want to do look more like?

Re: The couch thread
Lying about an injury like that or continuing through like the article stated are both behaviors that should be condemmed.
It's like getting caught with a stripper doing blow off your cock by your wife. "But honey, I wasn't going to do any coke, I was just going to fuck her"

You do not let your friends or athletes hurt themselves for no reason. This is why i will haunt, taunt, and confront @fit dbaggery forever. The bloody hand video, inlight of the number of STD's transmittted by bodily fluids, is appalling. Reebok will quickly Reethink their deep pockets in the trial lawyers crosshairs...
