I know I'm old and I know my memory isn't that great - but I'm pretty sure we didn't have 18 year old's like that when I was young :)

The fact I'm not in prison pretty much proves it.

They learned from Kevin Ogar, they are not having them lift it overhead.

How many Crossfitters can even deadlift 365lbs, let alone do it 35 times?

They've gradually moved the games towards events that favor the 200+/juiced crowd.

365x35 starting fatigued will injure some spines. I have a feeling this is deliberate.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

I think they're tired of having women winning the female and male divisions.

Even when I was deadlifting mid 500's I wouldn't have wanted to pull anything for 35 reps. Stupid.

My buddy, who deadlifts 600-615, finished 18 reps with 315 on that before he ran out of time.

Maybe that's it then? They don't actually expect anyone to be able to do it?

The thing is, the ones who gut out that one will be burned out for the next two weeks. There is definitely a strategy to this. A lot of folks bank on coasting through the first three and then killing the last two. That's where the rankings are made.

I agree with your assessment.

You ever seen a cycling plumber who wrestles with small calves, forearms and neck? Didn't think so.

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. - Helen Keller
