They had tried to recruit Martone as their "KB guy" after he left DD.

I don't think they'll dig this article where he disses people who "don't have a proper foundation of strength" doing plyos, which defines about 75% of CFers.

http://www.tacticalathlete.com/shootingarticle.htm

Mark Twight and Dan John. I'm proud to be mentioned (even if only to be dissed) in the same company.

Damn, Foxy, you're the world champion of all time thread starter. 753 replies and 39,687 views as of now.

Lotsa publicity for Xft. They should give you a bonus or something.

As posted above, I think Xfit has its uses.

It's Couch who pisses me off. He is the master of "so-and-so" didn't give me credit. Which led to the Twight exit/exile, among others.
But I don't see Cooch referencing any sources for his work. Did he invent gymnastics, oly lifts, kettlebells, circuit training, sprints and timed workouts?

Contrast that approach to Pavel's, who gives credit to others.

And who looks like he practices what he preaches. Couch has a long way to go before he looks like an @fitter.

Dawg, Pavel's deadlift is in the low 600's, IIRC.
No match for Cooch's 750+.

Damn, Pavel has gone up 100#+ in 3 years? Pretty decent. Now if only he'd do some chain bar lifting we'd see some real progress.

Cooch looks like he spends most of his time drinking Meister Chow and eating ding dongs with the sporatic jumbo bag of cheetos.

Johno I refuse to give @fit any credit. They have contributed nothing to general fitness knowledge. All pooch has done is repackage existing training methods, claim they were his own, and attacks anyone who questions them. I refuse to call what is commonly known as cross training be the name @fit.

Pavel's not hitting more than, what, 500# right now.

What'd he do last year?

Agreed.

To be fair, he did add a "free fitness routine" website with photos of hot exercise babes.

I agree in theory. But human nature demands old wine in new bottles. So, maybe Krotch does a service to those who would otherwise use worse protocols.

My bad. So Krooch must have ~250 lbs. on Pavel in the deadlift.

The only thing Cooch the pooch has that's 250lbs worth, is all the donuts in his large freezer.

IIRC Pavel doesn't DL up above mid 500's- 600(?) because one elbow is seriously jacked up and he can no longer pronate that hand. Or maybe it's supinate, I can't remember.

Whichever it is, it means that he can't balance out his mixed grip by switching out his grip. This memory is about a year old, so don't quote me on it. Search DD or something. I'm too lazy.

He must have hellacious thumbs. Mine would fall off if I DLed more than 350 with a hook.

Actually it's a little worse then that. It's pretty hard for him to striaghten it out at all, which is obviously not great for the DL. He's doing in the high 400s at 180 or so. But I've seen him do 1 arm HLR, alternate between pressing the bulldog and kicking the shit out of the bag and other stupid human tricks, all on the same day. I'm pretty sure Couch isn't doing that stuff.

All us oldsters are jacked up, Pavel, me, Rif, and let's say Couch too ...only one needs an excuse for their condition.

There is no excuse. I can't lift jack for the foreseeable future, nothing above a 53 KB. So that's what I do. Rope, KB, cals, and now CB for a while.

Saw off my legs, I'll be hitting the UBE with a vengeance. Whatever it takes. Fatassness is unacceptable. But you know that already.

Bah. Without entertaining the entire @fit community with my symptoms, let's just say I have a really weird vascular problem of unknown cause. Over the past year I've been poked, prodded, scoped, scanned, sampled, and cultured in ways I really didn't need to know existed. Not dangerous, by everyone's assessment. Just odd.

No one can figure it out, but high IAP definitely makes the symptoms worse. So I don't do "heavy" stuff. Thus my quickness to take up Sonnon on his offer and give CB a try; it's not like it's taking me away from SQ and DL or anything. I see another specialist in a week. I am an Enigma.

I have a recurring nightmare about not being able to do anything except grease up my nuts and start long-distance running. ](*,)
