Thomas Billington - Dynamite Kid
Re: toughest/baddest old school wrestlers
Dynamite Kid is one of the best workers ever, but he's a midget and couldn't whip anybody. Dino Bravo was strong but I've never once heard of him being tough at all, though he was murdered in a mob style hit

Baron von Raschke. (Only guys from the old AWA could possibly qualify for the title of toughest/baddest)
Years ago, right after Jesse Ventura became governor, and the "Our governor can beat up your governor" merchandise was at peak popularity, Baron was spotted, by me among other notables, at the MN State Fair wearing a t-shirt that said "I beat up your governor."

Fats,
You were probably a twinkle in your dads eye when this was going on in Hawaii, but back in the late 70s there was a big wrestling promotion in Hawaii. Something along the line of "Wrestling made in Hawaii" or something like that name. Because of it's tropical local, lots of vacationing mainland wrestlers would come to Hawaii to vacation and make some coin wrestling for the coconut niggers. Some big names would blow into town from time to time.
I went to one of the shows when I was 8 yrs old. The promotion gave a lot of free tickets to military families.

Polynesian Pacific Pro Wrestling, and it was awesome. Was run by High Chief Peter Maivia and family.

Legit badasses...
Arn Anderson (and in this snippet Sid Vicious) - In 1993, Anderson was involved in a brutal stabbing incident during a WCW tour of Europe. On October 26, 1993, in Blackburn, Lancashire, Anderson and Sid Eudy were involved in an argument at a hotel bar. After being sent to their rooms by security chief Doug Dillinger, Eudy later attacked Anderson with a chair leg. A pair of safety scissors was introduced into the brawl by one of the participants, with Eudy receiving four stab wounds and Anderson receiving twenty, losing a pint and a half of blood. The fight was broken up by WCW wrestler Too Cold Scorpio, who was credited with saving Anderson's life. Neither man pressed charges against the other, and British police declined to do so since both men were leaving the country. Eudy was later fired over the incident.[4]
Taz - my buddy was a wrestler for a while, had a match with Taz before his ECW days (the REAL ECW, not the WWE shit) and he said to me he never got so beat up in the ring in his life. Taz literally threw him around like a doll.
Vader - noted as one of the stiffest wrestlers ever.
Mick Foley - aside from the Hell in the Cell match, he took multiple full force chair shots from the Rock which caused all sorts of damage, had his ear ripped off in Japan, wrestled with barbed wire, glass, nails, etc...
The old school guys trump the newer guys by far... I can't think of any new wrestler who would fit the bill of being a legit tough guy.

Surprisingly enough... one of the baddest men around in wrestling was William Regal.

From what I hear, motherfucker was legit as hell

Re: toughest/baddest old school wrestlers
Regal supposedly has some Catch training.
Arm Anderson is one of my favorites and one of the most underrated wrestlers of all time.
Terry Funk is definitely one of the toughest guys ever. Foley was tough from a taking punishment standpoint but he wouldn't harm a fly.
Funny story about Taz, Foley, and Kurt Angle. Kurt was getting ready to work his first WWF TV match ever against Taz. He was worried and asked Mick Foley what if Taz, a tough and intimidating though fairly small guy, decided to shoot on him. Mick was a little confused and was like "Uhhh, Kurt, you're an Olympic Gold medalist". LOL

Re: toughest/baddest old school wrestlers
Didn't Scott Hall kill someone?
Re: toughest/baddest old school wrestlers
1983
In 1983, Hall was charged with second degree murder after shooting a man with his own gun (after wrestling it away from him) in an altercation outside of a nightclub. According to Hall, this was done in self-defense. The charges were dropped due to lack of evidence. In a 2011 interview for ESPN, Hall admits killing the man, and says he is unable to forget the incident.[104]

Who was Arn's main tag team partner? I thought they were the best pure wrestlers of their time, plus good heavies.Gin Master wrote:Agree on Arn Anderson. And add Stu Hart.

His first partner was his "cousin" Ole Anderson, a big guy, and they were called the Minnesota Wrecking Crew, and also were part of the original Four Horsemen. After Ole was kicked out of the Horsemen, Tully Blanchard, a smaller but technical wrestler, became his partner for many years in the NWA as part of the Horsemen, and they were known as the Brainbusters, managed by Bobby Heenan, in the WWF for a couple years. Most consider them one of the best tag teams of all time.
