I recently came across a piece of information that I am obliged to share with
all members of our forum.

We all come from different walks of life and have done things that are crazy, dangerous and
at times questionable. Everyone here is entitled to his/hers personal life and secrets.

However, since we often interact with one another , buying and selling stuff here, I couldn't let this
particular piece of information pass, as it involves money fraud and misleading members of this board.

Gloria D. Benson, a member of this board known as "Short Straw" , has been arrested in December 2010 and has been charged with money fraud and identity theft, in addition she misrepresented her professional service as an RN and flight nurse in Afghanistan and elsewhere, and scammed money out from at least 3 soldiers that I have knowledge of.

The above information has been independently verified via State and Federal databases.

Take notice of the information contained herein as well as the attachment, and make your own judgment and decisions if you are dealing with this person.

Not any inner circle thing at all. The Cory Marie-Ultimate Warrior thing was years ago. She posed as a man and also as a woman both of whom performed outrages feats of strength and shit. To me Short Straw sounds like a different crazy person. JMO

Years ago on the DD forum, there was a crazy dude IRL named John Hurley who posed as three people besides himself, two of them women, one of them calling "herself" Cory Marie. Hurley actually showed up at a CST cert and I think he was asked to leave because he was pretty clearly unbalanced.

Hurley/Cory Marie/etc.'s stories of accomplishments got progressively more outlandish, and Lopa noted that while several of "them" had said they'd be showing up to a KB meet, none had sent in registration forms. She privately predicted some kind of tragedy would occur that would prevent their attendance, and that was borne out.

Finally, Garm or somebody wrote a long expose noting the similar writing styles (never using a space after a period, for example), and while Hurley would reappear periodically, he didn't really bother masking these distinct characteristics, so he'd show up, get outed, and re-incarnate shortly thereafter.
