Good luck. A friend just came back from there. Helluva commute from the US.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

I'll wish you good luck but only if you promise not to try to milk yet another shitty book out of this "adventure." Try to get some pics of a yeti if you see one...maybe offer him some beef jerky.

Are you walking the whole way there? That'd be some serious trekking.

Never too old to be a (base) camp follower, I guess. Take lots of pix.

If you plant a IGX flag at basecamp (with photo) I will double my contribution.

A shitpile. Cost of the expedition is minimal. Less than $3000.

The Sherpa guide lives in the US and is married to an American woman. They have two young kids. Ang is taking the kids to meet their grandparents for the first time. The seven of us --- two who are American friends of Ang and his wife -- on this private trip are basically financing the reunion. Lv the kids with the grandparents and forge on to Base Camp.

It's the airfare that's killer. You could basically do it from Seattle for @$900. I'm going biz class from Seattle to Dubai (14 hours). That costs a lot.

I'm writing a two small articles on different aspects of the trip for two different publication, but it will not quite pay for the entire trip. It is all tax deductible however.

I'd suggest you just print our logo into an A4 photocopy page and put it in a separator so it doesn't add to your weight load.

HELENA - State wildlife officials are reminding hunters to use extra care when heading out because of the extreme fire danger that exists in much of Montana.

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks officials advise that hunters check in with the nearest regional FWP office before making final plans. All hunters also must be prepared to prevent wildfire statewide.

I hope you're leaving the camel behind. Camels hate yetis, and vice versa.

Good luck.
