Don't they have to reboot the sun or something? Considering that you could easily pour one million Earths into the Sun (if it were hollow) I find this goofy.

For an encore they can build some kind of super rock-dissolving laser thingy and drill right to the Earth's core to set off a bomb and start the core spinning again. My Hottina got "Razor" off of Netflix.

The situation where the guy went nuts? Sure, it was reasonable, I probably would have flipped.
But taking this beautiful, amazing, sci-fi story and inflicting it with a naked Freddy Kruger wannabe when you have other McGuffins? It's lazy and lame and heartbreaking.
