POD, assuming he is not a RANT sock puppet, should get the Troll of the week award for that crap.

Shouldn't this whole post be in the POD thread?POD wrote: Once again, for the record - I'm not gay, just Catholic. I'd readily admit that Kelly Brooks is a physically attractive woman (as should any guy with his head on straight), but that does not mean that I'd ram her without hesitation, as you all say you would. There's a lot more to love than just physical attraction and I don't think that sex should be separated from love, though society tends to treat it that way.
Also, in fairness, I should also note that Gin Master's and Fish's photos should not be taken as realistic standards of what a woman should look like, as there's definitely the heavy use of lighting, make-up, and probably digital touch-ups in those photos. Extremely attractive? Yes. Realistic? No. It's not very surprising that women often see men as shallow when they immediately judge someone by looks alone, and do that judging against such perfectionistic standards.
That's all the lecturing you'll hear from me on that topic, and probably more than you wanted to hear anyway.

Re: The couch thread
POD, there's a whole thread for you to publicly agonize about whether you're catholic or queer, why not do it there and keep the couch-hate pure? I for one don't want to see an asterisk next this thead when it reaches 15K posts (* "3928 of these posts are actually about whether POD is gay or just a serial papist and have nothing to do with couch or xfit"). It's not an achievement if page upon page is filled with your dribble. Go post on your own thread or shut the fuck up for a while.

Handstand push-ups are an amazing and functional exercise, while bench pressing is satan's work (according to past posts on the @fit forums).

Now look. I've eaten a pice of pie.
When we spin the pie again, the area cut out of the volume of the sphere equals fitness.

google kelly brook and you will find fucking tens of thousands of pictures of her looking so so fine, so don't bring out the "unrealistic" bullshit to hide your queerness.POD wrote:Also, in fairness, I should also note that Gin Master's and Fish's photos should not be taken as realistic standards of what a woman should look like, as there's definitely the heavy use of lighting, make-up, and probably digital touch-ups in those photos. Hell even your mother looks better with a bit of mascara and some slutty bright red lipstick on.
I'd say on the bottom of that self-actualisation pyramid shit, proper decent coffee is in there with wifi, tits, food and shelter

Re: The couch thread
Looking under this chick's user name, she has been an @fit board member since july of 2008, she has 541 posts, is A PERSONAL FUCKING TRAINER but still lacks the knowledge or drive or whatever to squat more than 50 pounds or do a push-up. WTF?Marianne, i'm hijacking your old thread...I'm glad your going! Tell me what you think! (FYI...I'm going to sign up for the Olympic Cert in CT in the spring!)
I'm wondering if I'm strong enough to take the level 1 cert or should I wait? FYI... I am interested in opening an affiliate eventually (or at least working at one). I've been a personal trainer for a few years, i've been to many certs including the Crossfit endurance & gymnastics -- and yes i was the weakest at both and I'm ok with that. And, not that i think its a requirement, but I'm stronger than all my female clients (in most areas).
I can't do manly push-ups or pull-ups yet (i previously was able to do 1 chin-up & 1 push-up but took some time off for various reasons and they are gone now). My CFT is the weakest i've seen:
* 120 lbs Deadlift
* 50 lbs Press
* 50 lbs Squat - I know there are form issues
So, what do you think? Am I too weak? Should I wait?
Who really would want to be trained by someone who is so incredibly weak?

President, please. We all know there's a lot of "help" in those photos. But I'm willing to bet that in person, with or without makeup, she'd still be jaw-droppingly, pants-tentingly lovely.POD wrote:as there's definitely the heavy use of lighting, make-up, and probably digital touch-ups in those photos. Fucking dead on review!The emphasis is on speed and weight hoisted, not technique.
Mr. Glassman, 49, a former gymnast from Santa Cruz, Calif., walks with a slight limp because of a knee injury, and at 5-foot-7 and 185 pounds admits he should lose weight.

Re: The couch thread
Have any of you guys heard of this? And the ultimate punch line is that the originator of this fitness program is a bit overweight:
'Mr. Glassman, 49, a former gymnast from Santa Cruz, CA walks with a slight limp because of a knee injury and at 5'7" 185lbs. admits he should lose weight.' My guess is that his weight and height would make him overweight on most weight charts. Amazing.
And this is the big Cross Fit guru dude. I'm sure this makes sense to somebody. Somewhere.

With few exception do you ever see anyone pushing and pulling heavy shit. How are people that fucking stupid? The puking in @fit is from the bellies full of jizz.

My bad! Thank you for helping me see the light!
I think I must hate because I have a deep desire to do this: I would never want to do this:
Look what a fit trainer would make me do! Thank you again for keeping me way from those trainers who actually train. That was a close one!
