Let us remind couch and the lurkers of just what Sommer has done, in comparison to couch's unproven gym-Nastic career:
Christopher Sommer is a professional gymnastics instructor with over 25 years experience and has coached numerous State, Regional and National Champions.
EDIT: One last thing, for those of you who like ex-softball players with glutes & hams, here's her doing some GPP at Catalyst...http://cathletics.com/wod/video/jocelyn ... -16-09.mov. Enjoy.

How long before those old posts get deleted? Frankly I am surprised they are not redacted.

Perhaps Coach Sommer has someone more powerful than this? I susect the answer is an ineluctable no (lol who uses ineluctable ... what a douche).

glasshole is like the new guy that shows up at a bjj gym to get his ufc on. you snatch him in a triangle and he starts to flail around. trying to be helpful, you start to talk him thru his best options and he just thrashes harder. so you put his hands on your knee and give up your base to make it easier, still trying to show him. flailing harder now. and then he's nappin' on your junk.

too bad you can't choke people out over the interwebs.
have you ever been as far as even considered go want to do look more like?

It cracks me up that Couch has the temerity to call bullshit on Coach Sommer. Couch has "produced" some ok athletes using @fit standards and a few guys who actually matter in the real worl (Greg and Josh being about it)
I met Josh Pre-CF and he was in insane shape and very strong. Couch didn't do anything with him but give him a legion of weaklings to dominate. I'd imagine the story with Greg is quite similar, because if it wasn't we'd hear all about the weak guy who couldn't do one pullup who became a fitness monster.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Saw this on P-Menu. Written by another paleo advocate, with no personal link to Robb Wolf or CrossFit:
http://www.paleonu.com/panu-weblog/2010 ... young.html
In a spasm of abject stupidity, they fired Robb Wolf from his position as nutrition instructor.

Why?

Well, you can go over to Robb’s blog and read his posts and follow links on your own.

My interpretation, well researched but somewhat impressionistic, I grant, is that Robb and a few other soldiers were just showing a little too much initiative for the top brass. Meaning: The people in charge felt threatened by the expertise and talent of their underlings, to the point where the innovation and iconoclasm was simply seen as a threat to the business model of Crossfit. Crossfit TM is a business. It’s business is selling a variety of levels of training certifications to it’s franchisees - sorry, affiliates.

Thick hams girl from P-menu should be filmed only from the waist down.

This thread is becoming fucking hard to read. At least Couch getting owned by Sommers was good stuff.

Otherwise, more hate, less faggy bitching please.

What I find the most amazing are the idiots who will continue to argue for both sides long after both coaches have stopped. Morons.

Spooky timing, but the @F Journal had an article written by Greg Amundson this week talking about how he started at @F: http://journal.crossfit.com/2010/01/cro ... -calif.tpl

According to the preview he got smoked by 1 round of 1000m row, 21 KB swings and 12 pullups in his first workout. Any of the ex-@F fuckers posting here have access to the whole thing to shed more light? 'Cos I thought Greg A was a pretty decent college athlete (a swimmer or something?) and a cop before he started @F?

After the workout—I only completed one round—I stumbled over to the corner of the gym near the stairs and collapsed. Physically I was finished, but internally I was vibrant with the realization I had discovered something sacred. I had found a Coach who would share with me the Holy Grail of fitness: CrossFit.
Can I have a PRAISE THE LORD now people!

Fucking hell. I just read that Admunson article: eight pages of CrossFit autofellation. :vom:

Now that I think about it, "CrossFit Autofellation" would make for a pretty good affiliate name. It could be a sister gym to CrossFit Affliction, or something like that.

I had never seen 10lb bumper plates before that pic. That, in and of itself, was appalling. Next, what in the sweet tittyfucking hell is "light bellowing"? Am I wrong for thinking that's as much of a contradiction in terms as 10 lb bumper plates?

From the Sommers/Couch thread:
Greg 'The Genius' Glassman wrote:You cannot maximally express power and keep perfect body control. If your control is perfect the output is not maximal.
And that right there sums up all that is wrong with Cultfit's "programming." What a stupid, stupid philosophy to build a training program around.

Holy crap, reading through the rest of that thread....damn Sommers fucks Couch up hardcore. Someone needs to save that thread b/c they'll delete it when they see it's getting hits.

Re: Ashley from Naperville.

If that is Naperville, IL then there is a good chance she is a straight up whore. Naperville is known for having a disproportionate number of hot, wealthy, young sluts running around.

What a bucket of gin-fueled crap.

Yes, obviously this guy's power output is sub-maximal and not up to @fit standards, seeing that he is executing with pristine form:

Jesus WGM, a bumper crop.

I particularly like the fatty DL pic, it's rare to see an @F'er lift that much. For her that must be at least 0.25BW. Also the chick squatting in lime green; the dude timing her looks like he wants to stand behind her with his hand in that exact same position for her to anally fist herself. Or maybe he wants her standing behind him with her hand like that...
