Yeah, but your, "Eat that with your Doritos" comment remained. I forgot all about that thread.
Soon thereafter, I departed (and was later banned). Couch gave it to me because I said you made good points. He later used comments from an e-mail I sent him about Walsh getting dog-piled for being critical of the Zone. Basically used the public forum to put me in my place.

Good times. Good times.

Yeah, Rant sure sounded all zen-ey in that thread, didn't he?

I'm getting a bit tired of @F again. But I always laugh when tittiesnyc gets called Barky.

Yeah. Funny, after that, he trains a bunch of actors, gets ass-raped by @fit, then gets all stoic in his writing. Back when he posted, it seemed like he was trying to impress couch with his knowledges.

GPP vs SPP
Here is something for the "theory" part of fitness.

Is GPP or SPP better than the other? No. However, if there were a contest in which a series of varied events were chosen randomly for competitors to compete at, a GPP practitioner would most likely dominate.

I created a simulation, a rather large Excel spreadsheet, to demonstrate the basic argument.

I think his old math teacher should beat him with a ruler and shove a calculator up his ass with his theory.

Wonderful, more bullshit to read thru. Fuckers ought to just pick up something heavy and lift it a few times instead of trying to show how smart they aren't with inept math, graphs and skills.

So, something like a strongman comp?

Funny anecdote: back in June or so my wife entered a local woman's strongman contest, and one of the nearby box's couches entered it as well.

Guess who won, and who came fourth?

Not to knock the girl, cause she was nice enough and you could tell she had good conditioning, but if GPP > than the strength-specialized training my wife's been doing for several years now you'd think that result would have been different.

Yes but what if all of a sudden a spike appeared in the middle of the road and your wife had to hammer it into the ground immediately???

Or what if a rope magically dropped down from the sky and your wife had to climb it in an L-sit position then immediately run 400m then perform 25 BW deadlifts? What then smart guy?

Hold on Jag, wasn't the @fit girl supposed to totally dominate your wife at SW? Isn't that a truth derived from competition and not debate?

The Strongman contest obviously wasn't a test of true fitness (as defined by Couch), thus, reason and logic would dictate that a specialist would win in such a narrow, ill-conceived contest. Nature of course punishes strongmen competitors.

One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

I have to confess that, after a good weekend, a nice start to the week, and the rampant drive-by faggotry of these @F immigrants, my hate for @F had started to ebb. But MOTHER FUCKER this guy flipped the nitrous switches on my hate-mobile. I want to find an @Fer, rip his piercings out, and use his wallet chain to sand off his tats. Fran, my ass. Fuck Couch.

- NO. CrossFit's "methodology" is just an inefficient and sloppy way to train people, and is in fact the perfect example of a company in an industry, led by people without an education in that industry. Their "programming" and "philosophies" are more rip offs from UPS more than ex phys and kines.

It's almost like you'd need to specialize and practice a sport to get good at it, or something

Seriously, when I see the venom about this form of training and how it develops the premiere athletes on the planet, I just wonder how it matches up with a typical larger high school. Last year, I had a sophomore bench 385 and a senior clean 315 for a double, lifts that are remarkable, yet oddly normal for top end football players. I'm just wondering (out loud, I guess) if people realize that the concept of elite is so much higher than what is going on at the local spa.
These dipshits don't know elite, but that's all part of Couch's plan. He markets his nonsense to a group of never-were dipshits who were picked last on the playground or didn't even play. They never accomplished shit, but now have a chance to call themselves elite according to some imaginary broad domain modal mudhole.

Elite to a Crossfitter is like fucking an ugly bitch with beer goggles. It feels good but you don't know what the fuck you are doing.
