Can you really make a page like this without wikipedia nazis coming down on you?

Speedy deletion is right. No more page.

Maybe it would be easier to simply start a Wiki called "The Couch Thread"...

Do you mean a new Wikipedia article? Or an entirely separate Wiki site. If the former, it would probably get deleted by over-diligent admins for the same reasons. (lol, in the space of 9 minutes after my post, it got deleted.) If the latter, I think anything is game. Maybe it should be called The Couch Wiki...

Suggest we call it Couch Thread. Or Coaches Couch. Then as long as we put factual data, the nazi's won't delete. Can't put 'The' in the title. Creating now.

Link?

Why make an article on wikipedia where it is subject to random editing and deletion by admins? Sides, a whimsical name like 'Coaches Couch' makes no sense on Wikipedia. Why not just make a separate wiki site?

This is fucking stupid. You can't just make up random wikipedia entries according to your own rules and then whine about 'Wikipedia Nazis' deleting pages that don't fit the wikipedia format. The place for a critique of crossfit is on the crossfit entry if anywhere, but I expect that to be subject to endless edits.

A smart person would work within the wikipedia rules, like that sly [citation needed] after 'former gymnast'. Small edits can gradually change the meaning of the crossfit page bit by bit while seeming innocent, as can inserting words and phrases like 'alleged' or 'Crossfit representatives claim that ...'.

Highlighting embarrassing cases like the RRG - or making a page for Glassman which just factually describes how little is know about his background or credentials - is a better use of time.

Now that it's been removed, I am proud to admit, that edit was mine. \:D/

Laudable effort, but if they had any plates that weighed more than five kilos, he wouldn't have to balance them so precariously.

I am not interested in editing the wiki, but here is a suggestion:

FROM:
A separate initiative, Operation Phoenix, uses proceeds from T-shirt sales to equip U.S. Marine Corps gyms with CrossFit equipment.

TO:
to equip U.S. Marine Corps gyms with equipment claimed to be exclusive to Crossfit.
or
to equip U.S. Marine Corps gyms with traditional strength training equipment used in Crossfit.
or
to equip U.S. Marine Corps gyms with CrossFit equipment, most notably lengths of PVC pipe.

Injuries? What injuries?
There's not much info out on the net that I've been able to find and the doc's not too much help. My wife got rhabdo from a GHD crossfit workout about a month ago. She had significant swelling in her abdomen and her liver numbers were through the roof. She rehydrate enough that she pretty much saved her kidney but her recovery has really stalled. She tried some light lifting a week or so ago, like 40% of her old work sets, and swelled up again. I was wondering if you, or anyone else out there, had any experience with healing from this bastard and maybe had some advice I could pass on to her. She's getting restless.

The perfect Rhabdo storm will occur when a somewhat out-of-shape tyro who takes statins embraces Crossfit and "goes for it."

I'll third that, I actually like the font and the layout of the logo, I right clicked to save the pic to take to my designer until I noticed it was going to be saved as assaholic.jpg

Two thousand bucks a year just doesn't get you much these days....
Hi #####,

Thank you for your question. Because we are not a Franchise, we do not offer any kind of business support. We, here on the affiliate team can help guide you in the right direction when it comes to Insurance, website designers, equipment suppliers, client tracking software, etc. However we do not offer any sort of business plans or business training.

Your annual affiliate fee consists of you being able to openly use the Crossfit name you are approved for and advertise freely on a Brand that we have have spent years working very hard to build. You also will be invited to attend gatherings that are planned for the affiliate community only and will have access to the affiliate message boards.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
