Snatching with a torn cuff?
Good thing they claim to forge elite fitness, because forging elite critical thinking skills definitely wouldn't stick.

The saddest part about this is that this guy is a doctor.

You got to be fucking kidding. Someone needs to smack him with a copy of Grey's Anatomy, large print edition...and aim for the rotator cuff. A doctor should know better than to do explosive work like snatches with a torn rotator cuff.kreator wrote:RPC wrote:LOL

In other breaking news, a study just published in JAMA shows that a bullet in the gut is still really bad for digestion.RPC wrote:LOL

"It is definitely Ouchy," says Dr Dale Cronehurst, lead doctor in the study. "Higher gut bullet incidence (GBI) was positively correlated with a decreased (P < 0.01) (mean +/- SD) digestive rate as measured by the amount of Taco Bell that was successfully metabolized in the blood."
Dr Cronehurst cautions that this is only preliminary work, and more study needs to be done. "We unfortunately had a high drop out rate with this study, mostly due to sepsis and blood loss."
Re: The couch thread
I posed this same question to a kool-aid swilling acquaintence, to which he had little to say. Last year there was a spreadsheet posted showing the wad scores and final placings of everyone. I don't see one this year, or maybe it's buried somewhere on the gaymes site. Does anyone know the final numbers for all those "epic match-ups" HQ was jizzing over?CultBuster wrote:The question was about the build up with Kalipa, Orlando, OPT ect and how they essentially blew up. If these guys representh the fittest and prepared for anything WTF happened?

@fit happened.CultBuster wrote:The question was about the build up with Kalipa, Orlando, OPT ect and how they essentially blew up. If these guys representh the fittest and prepared for anything WTF happened?
Spealler did pretty good, which isn't surprising since the workouts where lots of metcon and little strength. Orlando did well too, considering that he's a strongman guy. But it's true that the performances of the established @fit stars pretty much sucked. One of the main reasons for this might be that their stupid randomized workouts at the gaymes are impossible to prepare for.
As far as the gaymes getting bigger and more popular, well good luck with that. Even the marketing geniuses at @fit can't pull that off. Watching the videos of the different WADs is a painful experience. At the very start there's so much flailing around that you risk getting sick by watching those faggots throwing themselves at their fucked up movements. But later it just seems to be people leisurely working out together, it's impossible to find out who's doing well and who's not doing well. It plain and simply sucks.
Shave's bad mic skills didn't do any good either. Fucking faggot should smoke less cock and get a speaking coach.
That deserves some clappy hands:ImUndaYourBed wrote:protobuilder wrote:Dirt Diva comes in strong with some good innuendo for Andro Friday:

Re: The couch thread
A friend worked medical staff for the gaymes and said it blew away the X Games as far as rampant injuries caused by pure retardedness. Lots of lumbar shit from horrible DL and KB form.
Said person warned quite a few competitors that they were in no condition to compete, but that's assfit for you: forging eeelite levels of injury while competing at working out.

Where was Glassman? Did I just not see him on the webcast, or was Coach Glassman not there this year? Why?
Probably at the bar from the looks of some of the videos.
Brutal, but true.

Someone postulated that couch, when let off his chain or when his handlers are distracted, will break back into his favorite things.

I will give some slack for age, but @ cycles of CFSB and you have a sub 135 press? Why not do stating strength? Now that he is strong, he is going back to mainsite? Reminds me of something I heard Johnny Pain say.."the reason crossfitters take there shirtys off all the time is becasue that is the only7 way anyone could ever tell that they worked out.Kevin
M/51/5'11"/169
Went for max shoulder press today, after two cycles of CFSB.
127.5(PR)
Only have deadlift to go, then back to main site WODS.
BTW Couch Crassmen has been posting some older quotes lately..if there are any classsics around let 'em lose

Re: The couch thread
I'm going to puke. From July 16-18, 2010, the world’s fittest men competed under a blazing sun at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. For three days, elite athletes put their training to the test in a new sport—the sport of fitness.
The CrossFit crucible was unforgiving, and weaknesses were punished time and again as intense workouts separated the top athletes from their peers. Trial and toil in the sunshine produced sweat, tears, bloody hands and disappointment, but also successes, smiles, new records and friendships.
The CrossFit Games challenged the human mind, body and spirit, and anyone who competed accomplished a monumental task in qualifying for the Games and putting themselves through our sport’s ultimate test. Their desire to be stronger and faster drives CrossFit to new heights and ultimately helps define elite fitness.
