I don't know, but I hope it was better than this. Bought it at Wal-Mart for $5 a couple of months ago hoping that it would be better than when I first saw it years ago...it got worse.

Stalingrad is in the original german and a really good film.
Don`t forget "the unknown soldier" or okänd soldat in swedish.The original was made in 1955.
It is based on Vainö Linna s book of the same name.

Best WWII movie I've seen. No politics or whitewashing, just "here's what happened as accurately as we can show it."

Also +1 for Cross of Iron, a very underrated Peckinpah flick.
