It was... okay. It was odd watching it since it follows the original "Let The Right One In" almost scene for scene, yet somehow it's less effective.
BIG FAT SPOILER SPACE
It was "well made" but LTROI was just more disturbing. The girl in the original came across as much more creepy w/o the overdone vampire eyes and stuff. And the boy in the original was more of an innocent, so it made his change into the girl's keeper even more of a shift.
The last scene in the pool didn't work as well. In the original it was much better lit, and somehow that made it MORE effective, because what you saw was completely inexplicable and shocking. Here the darkness didn't really help: interesting to see a horror movie where more lighting made it more scary instead of less so.

Re: Let Me In
I heard the American version was kind of like a scarier ET.

That's pretty apt. Plus, the cop totally violates the 4th Amendment. Deserves what he gets, IMO.
The flesh is weak, and the smell of pussy is strong like a muthafucka.

Re: Let Me In
Can't imagine the original could have been improved on at all. As bout a perfect treatment in the genre as possible. I knew that Hollywood was re-doing it, but didn't know it had already been released.
Thanks for the review, if only as a reminder to watch the original again.

Re: Let Me In
I saw the English version before the original, and thought it was better.
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.
