The Warrior Dash is actually kind of cool and to be honest if I was to jump over a fire I would want to look like I was doing something retarded... I mean you are jumping over fire... that is about as "primal" as it gets.
Unless he wrote up about how badass he was and how eleeeeet he was for doing it. Then he needs a beating.

Nope. Only mandatory for 100% @fit uhleeeet Nazism.
If couch looked the part of the master race we could liken this (@fit) as the coming of the fourth reich. However....

Back in the day, we got drunk and set something on fire every other weekend. I guess we were Paleo before Paleo was cool.Jay wrote:The Warrior Dash is actually kind of cool and to be honest if I was to jump over a fire I would want to look like I was doing something retarded... Trying to think about what my father would say about all this shit. When he was my age, he came home from his day job, ate, took a quick nap and then left for his night job. Recreation was a having a couple of Seven and Sevens or Millers with my uncles on the weekend.Jay wrote:indeedGin Master wrote:Back in the day, we got drunk and set something on fire every other weekend. Running through the woods, through mud, up hills and over fire were for;
A. Jungle bunnies in National Geographic having to hunt for their dinner or escape jungle fires, etc.
or
B. Jungle bunnies in America running from the cops, avoiding or escaping custody.

You have to pay damn good money for the privilege of doing something that people did out of necessity just a few generations ago.Cave Canem wrote:Trying to think about what my father would say about all this shit. Or got paid to do a few years ago. I showed this to my dad and he said "Looks a bit like Nam, except no one is shooting at them and they don't have to carry any gear".Gin Master wrote:You have to pay damn good money for the privilege of doing something that people did out of necessity just a few generations ago.Cave Canem wrote:Trying to think about what my father would say about all this shit. The warrior dash is for chicks. I plan on being hammered before during and after and seeing tons of hot coeds this Sunday. Plus it will be fun...don't worry, I asked my 93 year old wwII vet grampa if I was a pussy for having fun, he said it was ok.

That gives me a great idea for a race event: live fire and heavy rucks. I think I'll call it the Grunt Punt.ThespianDouche wrote:

It's a must to do it drunk because taking yourself too seriously during it is like celebrating a 3 second PR in "Fran".
The only Warrior Dash blog I want to read is how some dude took a shit on the fire screaming "ATTICA!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Now that is entertainment.

I want to punch him dead in the face. He would run away but I would wait about 30 minutes, get in my car and look for the spot when his shoes broke down on him giving him another DNF and a black eye or two.sanchezero wrote:MacNCheez wrote:...crossfit creates athletes that don't break down.

I wonder how long these "races" will last once some asshole falls face first in the fire and becomes disfigured/blind/disabled for life. No matter how many waivers they sign, someone is going to sue the shit out of them. It'll probably be some chunky @fit broad who lost her chance to be a feature chick on Team Gorilla (unless he decides to do a day of "Earn your scars").Jay wrote:The Dash is fun, no doubt, but that's all it is.ButterCupPowerRanch wrote:The warrior dash is for chicks. Unless you get paid for your sport, you are LEO/MIL or are a legitmate, I've come to storm the palace rebel, it's just working out. Have fun, have you post workout cookie batter shake and go home.
If you want to be a warrior, go fight someone, preferably to the death.
