Egos are all over this industry, chastising someone for an ego is like yelling at a black man for being black.
Not questioning his athletic background, but the fact he thinks his shit is vastly superior to everything else out there. There's a thread over at the @fit boards where he goes off on Wendler's 5/3/1 and other strength & conditioning programs that work just as well as his, if not better. I'm pretty sure he would have shit-talked about your program too if he knew about it then. It just took me back to same shit talk that BitchMac does.

Some of the shit-talk from Freddy could end up being fun to watch. There is alot of love w/ Freddie and certain old time @fitters who have fallen out of love with da couch. How much shit can Freddy talk before they have to cut ties with him..he would have that "couch fired me after all these years" OPT won the first games and is on the outs wth HQ and Urban is doing the only nutrition workshops that anyone is going to. She was kicked and and hits an affiliate a week with the "don't weigh and measure, lift heavy and met-cons are stupid" lecture series. With some OG guys on the edge and the games coming up I'm looking foward to having some fun

This.

I’ve decided that, like others out there, I’m too cool for CrossFit now. Sorry, nothing personal. Just. Too. Cool.
So it’s time to announce the launching of LisbethFit: a revolutionary method of constantly varied, high intensity exercises designed to increase your work capacity over broad time and modal domains.
Oh wait.
That’s been done before.
Maybe I should invent some complicated scheme of charts and measures and percentages and data that, if you follow it specifically, will unlock all the secrets to the universe and cure your eczema.
Drat. Done already.
Lift heavy, no metcons, eat, eat, eat?
Foiled. Already done.
Alright, that settles it. I’ll just start some cute-named nutrition seminar and peddle that to CrossFit affiliates.
Shoot! Done already.
I guess I better go back to CrossFit. I am so uncool.

The monumental hubris on display in that blog post is breathtaking. Ms. Darsh is such a foaming at the mouth zealot that when it so transpires that she loses a power struggle at HQ and gets forced out we're going to be treated to a display of bitterness and violent apostasy that will be a sight to behold.

Liz, since I know you're reading, other true believers have been thrown under a bus by people they trusted, don't think it can't happen to you.

It's easy, really:
1. write a blog with snarky posts
2. pretend you came up with the idea of lifting weights
3. wear knee-high socks

Blog snarkiness and lack of actual qualifications are crucial to success in this endeavor, apparently.

Every @Fer I run into thinks they're a GD nutrition expert...except on figuring out why they're becoming more sensitive to a greater number of foods over time and why they constantly continue to lose lean weight unless they eat about 50% more fat and protein than they should (due to their fear of carb-induced insulin spikes, while ignorant of all the other factors in blood sugar regulation).

Sheesh.

Less than three miles as the crow flies...the trophy/soccer moms could dig this but location is not optimal for marketing in this area. Have looked at my own facility but numbers don't work in this demographic without layers of douchebaggery. i would offer a cross between Joe Defranco and Carrot Top and what they want is Kenny G crossed with a merkin topped fraud.

Nightman's old facility was amazing. Can't wait to see the new one.

This might go over well

Thanks for the props, PL54.

New one is in the works, not nearly as raw since it's more centrally in town, will be a store front and the rent will be 5x what I pay now but the free weight area will still have the edge, turf, racks and prowlers. Tires on he back parking lot with sleds. The million dollar home across the street will make nice scenery, too, they will fund the things I like to do, like train the kookyball athletes we have up and coming, our runners and so on.

Downside is I may be selling my Rogue rack (that's code for lurkers, if they want a Rogue)

Metabolic Condition
Contrary to widespread opinion, it now appears that there are three separate levels of condition… 1) muscular strength…2) cardiovascular ability…and 3) a previously mentioned unsuspected level of condition that I have named metabolic condition.

@F trainers teaching Kendrick Farris how to do a kipping pull is like a busboy teaching a doctor how to wash dishes.

According to below, he already does 3 sets of 10 pullups twice a week at some point during this training season. Really doubt he's considering adding any kips in.

Thanks for posting this:
"Metabolic Condition
Contrary to widespread opinion, it now appears that there are three separate levels of condition… 1) muscular strength…2) cardiovascular ability…and 3) a previously mentioned unsuspected level of condition that I have named metabolic condition."

The idea was that a muscle (he had his people train in the "Frankenstein Method" of bodyparts) that had yet to be trained along with a CV system that was well within its limits would literally not "work right." I experienced it myself, by the way, and the idea is true.

Now, it made me go from a pretty good thrower and O lifter to absolutely shitty, but the theory worked perfectly! Everything Jones and Darden noted is true...save that performance improves. They have had, My God, FORTY years to fund an O lifter up to some level or a thrower or someone in a sport that strength has a relationship with and "crickets," as you kids say on the intrawebs.

Crossfit has the same issue. A former NFL player can rip on 5/3/1 all he wants, but build a 14 year old up to playing in the NFL by doing...well, anything....and repeat the experiment. Then, get back to me. Genetics and all the rest are a hard thing to overcome.

Jones made a few statements that still sing well with me...one may not ever need more than 400 on the squat and Metabolic Conditioning and a few other points. But, few things outshine deLorme and even Hack or Sandow, really...

This is a pretty good thread, by the way.

I agree.... everything she learned is from Wolf and Lalonde and if you are going to preach strength, be fucking strong and not a waif. So fucking tired of these skinny sacks of shit acting like they are the gods of strong when Kate Moss says to them, "eat a sandwich". Come back and tell me about strength when your total equals what I DL.

As far as Darsh goes, she is a fucking moron to the highest degree. The name cunt goes well with her... her and all the koolaid drinking fucks can meet Jim Jones for all I care.

This may have been a little harsh, but oh well... Nutrition isn't that fucking hard, Paleo is perhaps the easiest way to manipulate your diet of all the ones out there. Its not that hard to follow. See a piece of bread, don't fucking eat it... see some meat, nuts and veggies, eat them.... if you are low on energy and need to recover better, up those fucking veggies and toss in some yams. I mean do we need seminars, books and all this shit about a simple goddamn caveman diet? Its not pre-contest prep people, lighten the fuck up and save your money before spending it on self-proclaimed gurus and their recycled information.

Now this is harsh...

If @fit had a dick, Darsh would suck it... and that is saying a lot. She is the biggest load of @fit shit around. Fuck her and her againfaster.com wannabe motivational blog. I thought Gilson took the cake with his odes to douchebaggery, then along comes Darsh who writes like she takes 6 shafts from Glassman up her ass daily.
