Seems more like trying to learn something. Nothing wrong with having a plan, even if you aren't ready to execute, education should be first.

EVENING CLASSES CANCELLED due to the extreme heat. With a heat index of 112 out the gym's holding steady at 92 degrees. This is an unsafe environment to WOD in. If you feel the need to WOD I suggest you get a day pass at an air conditioned facility. I will personally reimburse an expenses incurred.
Saw this and chuckled. My place gets hot and stays well over 92 degrees in the TX summer. It's high 80's most days as I drive to the gym at 4:15AM.

I'm currently visiting WI, similar weather to cleveland, lake and all. The heat here is a joke compared to TX.

But, then again we train average people sensibly, not the elite.

Chuckle, so fucking elite. Because you know, the military elite they so desperately glam onto take heat breaks all the time when deployed in Afghanistan and Iraq.

What does it say about your nonsensicle workout cult, when it's unsafe to exercise in the shade during normal summer weather conditions? 92 fucking degrees? you have got to be kidding me? These fucktards have apparently never heard of drinking a shit load of water and dialing things back a notch.

Man I hate these pouser fucktards.
This is just it, extra & longer breaks, more water, don't go full bore or turn into a competition. If our soccer moms can do it why can't @fit.

The 750 lb. deadlift is certainly a highlight. And having several days personal exposure to Asstro and seeing that claims about him were wildly understated was interesting.

But really the thing that sums up all the classics is for me the Couch at the Blackboard video:

http://media.crossfit.com/cf-video/Cros ... ingPRE.mov

We get Couch either coming off a bender or in the middle of one, seeking some nearby object to keep him upright. We get the usual absolute fucking mess on a chalkboard that describes absolutely nothing. We get Pudding looking at him intently and meaningfully. We get proof that folks inside HQ are involved in some sort of elaborate palace coup (why else would they let this video go public?). And we get what to me is the greatest Couchism ever:
Should be more like birthday party than a physics class.
Damn straight. It should be more like birthday party.

Its a nasty heat wave here now, but this is average for you guys... its all about using common sense and maybe not having the cultists do crazy-ass metcons so they pass out.

The heat will make a workout suffer so you use your head and don't kill people, that is something foreign to most @fit gyms.

Whaaaat ??????

Wife was having complication from child birth and our gin soaked hero refused to give the docs the thumbs up to save her. When the wife found out she protested and gimpy tried to tell her this was Gods way of telling them he wanted her in heaven.

As with all of the cooches decissions it was a win for him and a lose for everyone else. He gets the kids, the cash cow cult fitness business, and all the female cult members he can molest.

Lucky for the Ex wife, the doctors listened to the wife, she survived and she soon divorced her gin swilling husband.
Holy shit! Not like I need any more reasons to hate the twisted little fuck, but had I known this the last time our paths crossed, I would have been hard pressed not to push my fist through his nose and out the back of his fucking head.

On another note, I thought that Ex-Mrs. Couch owned 51% of the whole operation, no ?

Important questions: If you dunk NYC, does she have to fight to breathe above her titty flotation devices? And if you dunk grizzled cunt, do you somehow vicariously get an STD acquired during the @Fit years (or year, really)?

Tamara Cohen. Bringing weightlifting to the masses!

http://board.crossfit.com/showthread.php?t=68918
Please join us September 10-11 in Winston-Salem, NC for the North Carolina Weightlifting Championship. Info at:

http://weightliftingevents.com/ncchampionship2011/ (WFS)

This will be a two day event, and we are expecting over 100 lifters from all over the country, including national level competitors. Spectators are free. We will have multiple vendors, food, beer, and fun.

You won't want to miss the fact that I will be joined by Allison Bishop (AllisonNYC) to run a dunk tank. I'm buying a new sparkly bikini and everything. You can come dunk me because, well, I'm obnoxious. And, you can come dunk Allison because, well, who doesn't want to see her in a bikini?

The meet has cash prizes.

Cash is always good.

Plan your vacation now. North Carolina is really nice in September.

This is Tamara Cohen:

Still can't decide what's more annoying: Tamara Cohen's intense desire to be accepted by people who lift weights, or Katherine Derbyshire posting the most obvious two-sentence responses in every thread on Crossfit forums.

LOLZ at closing the gym at 92 degrees. It's 95 when I show up to turn on the AC and teach the first kids class. Somehow all the little kids are able to make it, gi and all. But they're not elite.

Reading the Couchisms is like a limp down memory lane. The surest path to success in the fitness industry is to be Glassassinated. It's like a mark of legitimacy outside of the Temple.

Yeah, Meth Calves has been quietly toiling away at the @Fit Newport Beach gym and I think he no longer is an instructor anymore since his ass doesn't show up on the @Fit Endurance site anymore.

I personally think that Meth Calves new arm candy, Summer Wesson, pussy whipped him in line.

Can anyone confirm whether BMacNCheeze lost @Fit NB in a divorce or something? There was some chick by the name of Melissa that had his last name and was originally co-owner of that gym, then she's no longer carrying the same last name and like magic, he no longer is listed as the owner.

Oh and here's something for Kreator's collection:

BitchMac's additional failures:

2009 Quad Dipsea - DNF
2010 HURT 100 - DNS, blaming it on an injury (wait a minute, CrossFitters aren't supposed to get injuries with their fitness being across broad times and model domains! So it must be something that isn't the training, it just has to be!)
2010 41-mile run across Death Valley Basin - DNF after 4 hours, blaming it on melted shoes and a gimpy hip that was a torn TFL & Gluteal Median. (Torn muscles in the hips? Must be some freakish thing, can't be from lack of intelligent training.)

Oh and this little nugget I dug up...

2007 - Attempts to pull off what Dean Karnazes did and run the 200 mile Relay run solo.

http://www.teamduke.org/site/DocServer/ ... ?docID=181

As you can see in the results, he is not listed. Can you say DNF?

I think I saw that he did like a 3:45 marathon once or something. eleeeeeet.

EDIT: Here are his results. http://www.athlinks.com/myresults.aspx?rid=12741003 40 minute 10K, 3:45 marathons, no wonder he went for ultras: people don't have a good reference for what's mediocre. I expect a guru to at least have times good enough for the high school cross country team...

According to the Interwebs, I believe the last time BMack finished a race was 2007. In 2006 and 2007 he did a handful of ultras. Don't forget, CFE wasn't around back then. I think it was released online sometime around spring 2008 if I recall correctly. So back when he was doing his ultras, he was putting in a decent amount of mileage to finish them. According to what he's written all this mileage left him too weak to do 100 lb squats or something stupid like that. (Hmmm, did you ever think of doing squats along with mileage instead of one or another?)

So, if my research is accurate, I don't believe BMack has finished anything longer than a half marathon since creating CFE, at least not officially.

I do believe tzg is correct. Most people don't have a reference as to what makes a decent ultrarunner. In the events that he's done, I don't believe he's placed in the top 15% of any of them. And yet, the bio he sends out states that "he has been a competitive ultrarunner." (http://strongerfasterhealthier.com/athletes/2)

Not sure what defines a "competitive ultrarunner." Normally I'd figure you'd need to be able to hit top 5-10% of a major race or break some timed standard such as sub-18 flat 100, sub-24 mountain 100, or 120 on track in 24hr.

Not so, you just need to do a couple and DNF/DNS the rest, and you're "competitive"!

Also, fun fact I came across in my White Papers research: BMack DNFs are not limited to running. He also DNF'd the 2008 Crossfit Games!
