Re: The couch thread
Looking at Annie's pics, you have to wonder if Couch's drunken ramblings about the hierarchy of putting on muscle is as follows:
BB
@fit
BB on the pin
@fit on the pin
If Annie's been hitting typical @fit WADs, added the needle, and came up with those results, holy shit.

I don't have a lot of experience with vampires, but I have hunted werewolves. I shot one once, but by the time I got to it, it had turned back into my neighbor's dog.

Is AllisonNYC sipping less kool-aid these day?
Some people have seriously got to give me a break. If I see one more picture of a trainer cheering on someone with a loaded up barbell in a godawful position, I might jump through the computer screen an open up a can of whoop ass. Trainers are supposed to help make them better.. not rush them to go heavier and faster! duhhhhh

If you INSIST on doing box jumps, regardless of what The Coach Daniel John and others say, then say hello to the newest Crossfit fashion trend.

Crossfit: There's no such thing as overtraining, just underdosing
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. - Helen Keller

Barky dirty
One of the downsides of the Internet is that it allows like-minded people to form communities, and sometimes those communities are stupid.

Re: The couch thread
Those things are fucking dumb, they're some kind of foam padded shit. Wearing them while trying to grip something is like trying to play the piano while wearing mittens. You might as well cut your damn hands off. Although I'm thinking about wearing the next time I'm jerkin' it to one of WGMs blog posts.Turdacious wrote: Of coarse they did. Re: The couch thread
Those are soccer shinpads, dude. I'm suggesting the next big trend. HQ sees retarded and preventable injuries amongst the KoolAiderati as badges of honor. They'd never suggest that people do something intelligent like protect their shins or, better yet, don't do box jumps at all.Holeyfraggaroley wrote:I bet @ft HQ developed those knee pad shin guard thingys when hunkering down over the couches dick.

Re: The couch thread
You haven't used that particular brand then, have you? I'm familiar with the gymnastics grippers, cunt, as my wife did gymnastics, so I know the difference between the leather/leather-ish variety and that shit. The brand in that picture sucks because it's a kind of padded foam. I've used them and they suck. So suck some dick.Shafman wrote:actually, rapist_angel, those are similar to gymnastics equipment that do the same thing.
