I recently came across a piece of information that I am obliged to share with
all members of our forum.

We all come from different walks of life and have done things that are crazy, dangerous and
at times questionable. Everyone here is entitled to his/hers personal life and secrets.

However, since we often interact with one another , buying and selling stuff here, I couldn't let this
particular piece of information pass, as it involves money fraud and misleading members of this board.

Gloria D. Benson, a member of this board known as "Short Straw" , has been arrested in December 2010 and has been charged with money fraud and identity theft, in addition she misrepresented her professional service as an RN and flight nurse in Afghanistan and elsewhere, and scammed money out from at least 3 soldiers that I have knowledge of.

The above information has been independently verified via State and Federal databases.

Take notice of the information contained herein as well as the attachment, and make your own judgment and decisions if you are dealing with this person.

Fatty did indeed call it and pm-ed me about SS. "s/he comes across as more than a little bit stupid and self absorbed, and I find her posts insipid and annoying. If she isn't ultimate warrior, she's an equally dodgy personality."

I talked with SS several times over the phone and knew her real name. She usually called late and sounded like she'd been drinking a little. I figured after a 3 month tour in Afghanistan, she had her reasons.

Strangely enough, when I was wallowing in my depression early this year, SS sent me a PM that actually bucked me up. She never asked for any money from me. I may have sent her a signed book.

Frankly, I saw her as a nice gal with a tough job who just needed some understanding. Maybe that was her MO.

ps: I'm running an old version of Word and can't print the docx arrest report. Can I get some help, pls?

Do you have the Office compatibility pack installed on your PC? Typically, older versions of Word need to have that to read docx format documents.

It's a free download from the Microsoft site.
