RIP Bert Sugar
Iconic boxing writer. Pissed a lot of people off with his style, but I thought his take was as good as anyone's.

Kind of the end of an era with his passing, Angelo Dundee passing recently...

He is to be buried with a cigar in his mouth. Sweet guy.

Yup, a lot of people didn't like how animated his speech patterns were, but I'm not sure there was another writer still working that had the knowledge across all eras that he did.ledfistaco wrote:A little into his own schtick but knowledgable and from all I read a good man. RIP
Kraj,
That made me chuckle.

Re: RIP Bert Sugar
Guy knew boxing. And I liked the hat. RIP
Re: RIP Bert Sugar
Loved his stories, I also thought he was older than he really was RIP
Re: RIP Bert Sugar
I thought he was way older. Seems to have been around for ever. Appeared to belong to a bygone era, and yet was living in the present.
