Re: A Future US Armed Rebellion
I don't think an armed rebellion is coming any time soon. Cheeseburgers and cable TV are still widely available. My lifetime, maybe 10% chance, my children's lifetime, maybe 20-30%, my as yet unrealized grandchildren, 50-60%. About the time I'm dying, I think the shit could hit the fan. I still think it is wise to have firearms, ammunition, know how to grow and kill your food, and teach your children the same.
Bread and circuses.

The biggest reason to me to have "Thunderdome" gear was brought right to my face durring the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew and many of us saw some of the one time airing of some bad shit durring Katrina.
It's temporary breakdowns that we have all either been through or at least seen in our time.
I've heard there was some bad shit going down after Sandy as well.
Semi automatic, multi round mags (Hell an FFL aussult rifle becomes more than a bad ass toy. are a great thing to have. Me and my SKS fucked of a group of fuckers who were not from my hood and were not out to offer help the day after Andrew.
Many people killed looters with AR's and AK's down in Homestead after Andrew.
Then there were the shoppwners using AR's and Daewoo's to protect thei property and livlihood durring the LA Riots, right on CNN.
ANd some gangs do have AKs and the like, their was a Hatian gang in Miami who loved their "choopers" AK-47's.
The above points out non civil war scenario's where it's usefull to have a semi auto with a 20-30 rd mag.
So they taken of the right to these weapons is a reason to kill cops, Fed LEO's, politicians, media scum and any service member who disregards his oath to the Constitution and serves a goverment that subverts it.

Of course not. Like a good Dumborat, I know confiscating all weapons will solve their problems and it will never happen again.cleaner464 wrote:Aren't there a bunch of heartbroken parents you should be threatening to kill?Andy79 wrote:YESSS! Yep, that's the answer!

On Monday, renowned author and humanitarian Dr. Jim Garrow made a shocking claim about what we can expect to see in Obama's second term.
Garrow made the following Facebook post:
I have just been informed by a former senior military leader that Obama is using a new “litmus test” in determining who will stay and who must go in his military leaders. Get ready to explode folks. “The new litmus test of leadership in the military is if they will fire on US citizens or not.” Those who will not are being removed.
So, who is the source?
Garrow replied: “The man who told me this is one of America’s foremost military heroes.”
Understand, this is not coming from Alex Jones or Jesse Ventura, or from anyone else the left often dismisses with great ease.
Garrow is a well-respected activist and has spent much of his life rescuing infant girls from China, babies who would be killed under that country's one-child policy. He was also nominated for Nobel Peace Prize for his work.
His bio on Amazon.com reads:
Dr. James Garrow is the author of The Pink Pagoda: One Man’s Quest to End Gendercide in China. He has spent over $25 million over the past sixteen years rescuing an estimated 40,000 baby Chinese girls from near-certain death under China’s one-child-per-couple policy by facilitating international adoptions. He is the founder and executive director of the Bethune Institute’s Pink Pagoda schools, private English-immersion schools for Chinese children. Today he runs 168 schools with nearly 6,300 employees.
This comes on the heels of Sunday's report in the Washington Free Beacon (WFB) that the head of Central Command, Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis is being dismissed by Obama and will leave his post in March.
The WFB article states:
“Word on the national security street is that General James Mattis is being given the bum’s rush out of his job as commander of Central Command, and is being told to vacate his office several months earlier than planned.”
Did Gen. Mattis refuse to "fire on U.S. citizens?"

That's retarded. On his watch in his AOR we killed Anwar al-Awlaki, so he's already plinked a citizen or two.Herv100 wrote:http://www.examiner.com/article/shock-c ... s-citizens

Re: A Future US Armed Rebellion
Are people seriously claiming that an armed rebellion is imminent? The fact that most people are able to envision and discuss solutions to economic and social problems that don't involve shooting everybody who looks at them would seem to suggest otherwise. The Internet was supposed to bring people of various walks of life together though in many instances it simply reinforces half-baked extremist views by convincing nutjobs that there are millions others like them who believe the same way. Everybody's got to be hoarding their guns and beating their wives because that's what I read online!

Interwebz anonymity lets us drop the veneer of propriety and free our inner cyber chimp to rampage. It enhances our innate tribalism. Yes, but only because it is necessary to defend liberty from the tyranny of mental health checks before purchasing rifles and crates of ammo at a local gunshow.Terry B. wrote:Are people seriously claiming that an armed rebellion is imminent?

Okay, so you guys have all these guns, but you've also got the TSA, Homeland Security, indefinite detention, no-knock warrants, no-warrant wiretapping, extraordinary rendition, the War on Drugs, and Obamacare.
According to my calculations if you were going to take up arms and defend your liberty you should have started ten or eleven years ago. What's the holdup?

Yeah, those things are all bad, but let's give the same entity behind them the power to force mental health checks and eliminate medical privacy to exercise constitutional rights.
