My kid's 5th grade concert band. They unveiled their new symphony, Death of a Housecat.
It opened with the forlorn sounds of the horn section, echoing a warhorse shot in the hindquarters. Next came the string section, reminding me that I need to replace the fan belt on my car. Then they skipped the rest of the preliminaries and threw all of my wife's finest dinner service into the dryer and left it on tumble for 20 minutes.
It was awesome.

We didn't usually let our kids quit, but when my daughter decided she wanted to quit her violin lessons we were all over that!
